Pelo D'Oro is an exceptionally difficult leaf to successfully grow as it is susceptible to blue mould disease however we have managed to harvest enough grade A leaf at Tabacalera del Oriente in Peru to blend a remarkably sweet, full flavour, complex, premium cigar that I believe is one of the best ever New World cigars.

It took us over 18 months since we started the project to get it exactly right - treat yourself to a meticulously crafted, unique cigar.

I've had several of these in the humidor, but I've been increasingly concerned about one that was developing a split from the foot end so I decided to smoke it yesterday before it disintegrated entirely. I always use a punch rather than a cutter, and the cap survived being punched well, although the base of the cigar did unravel slowly as I smoked it. In terms of flavour, this was as good as always, and given the problem with the split the burn was fairly steady most of the way down. However, by the time I reached the band the base of the cigar was also unravelling quickly and it was becoming increasingly difficult to get any sort of draw without putting half the cigar into my mouth. I eventually gave up with about one third left as it was becoming impossible to smoke. This is the first of these that I've had any sort of quality issue with, and although I'm keeping an eye on the last couple I have in the humidor they are looking fine. Hopefully this was just a one off, and on this basis I'm going with four stars.

Bought one of these a few months back and just gotten around to smoking it. Starts quite spicey and woody and a little bitter but once it settles it turns very nice indeed. Smooth and floral sweetness throughout with a touch of white pepper. Burnt perfectly requiring no attention or touch ups and lasted me the best part of an hour. A very enjoyable smoke indeed.

This cigar I brought when first appeared for sale here on Cgars, I smoked one not long after purchase not being able to resist and now 3 cigars in, The flavours of these are unique, a tangy and different aroma and taste I've never experience in another cigar. The cigar produces flavours of spice with a undernote of what I could best describe as a biscuit and with black pepper further in, while remaining a smooth smoke. The construction of the cigar is not good at all, I brought five of these and the wrappers on 3/5 of them was peeling and cracking(no humidity fault) the cigar seems to have quite thin wrapper. This fault and the unique flavour which isn't my preference Id rate as 3 stars overall. But I do recommend to sample and to experience the different tobaccos from different regions.

First of all I have to say I'm very surprised by this cigar, wonderful smoke I'm half way through it and flavours are very consistent, a little bitter with after taste of spice, very nice draw and even burn. Very good cigar for beginners as a nice mild smoke. Only a few down sides, when I cut the end a small section crumbled away, and when I took off the band the wrapping came undone, how ever lick and stick and it was good as new. Will use a puncher next time and keep band on. Shame there's only 5000 of these will be ordering more very soon!!! Lovely smoke.

Highly recommend, get them while there hot. Only 5000 in stock I have order ten already. They a peppery medium strength cigar. So a beginner in cigar smoking will RECOMMEND these to everyone who needs a good cigar.
