Remember the first time you smelled a glass of Laphroaig and got punched in the nose by kippers/peat and smoke? These dipped wrapper smells not only identical, its identically intense. This huge peat smell doesnt translate massively onto the cigar though. There youve a nice Nicaraguan/kentucky mix with some sweet bacon/hickory on the back end. A really enjoyable smoke but not one I could tolerate every day.

Im still new to cigars, but have had a few Drew Estate cigars and enjoyed them. This one however was a bit of a let down. My wife smelled it, and described it as smelling like horse poo - and I kinda get where she was coming from, it certainly had an earthy smell to it. Upon lighting it, I discovered what I now know as a tight draw. Very little smoke, and after 45 mins of puffing away I was left tired and dissatisfied. Seems I need to invest in a draw tool, and maybe try this again - but there are plenty more to try before I rush back to this one.

Love drew estate cigars and this was new to me. instantly loved the hickory bbq wiff I got soon as I took it out of the cellophane wrapper. It smoked wonderfully I had to come back and order some more. Highly recommended stick.

Faaaantastic! Drew Estate are definitely more on the hey its about ten pounds and as subtle as a train hitting you end of the taste spectrum, but thats not a bad thing! Its difficult to describe a taste, but it really is like smoked bbq sauce. Its smokey but has a deep underlying sweetness. Some Drew Estates taste like theyre coated in sugar but this was a much more enjoyable smoke. If youre new to cigars, or want a change of pace, then these are great!

I am absolutely in love with these. Brought one at the end of last year and loved it, so I brought more. I feel like its a Marmite of the cigar world. You either love it or you hate it. It smells amazing and smokey. It has a massive BBQ taste to it and it is how I imagine the inside of a charred Bourbon Whiskey barrel would smell before being filled with Whiskey. The first one I smoked I used a punch cutter and it was a little bit of a tight draw, but the one Im smoking now I used a V cut and it is perfect. If you havent tried one I suggest giving it ago, it might surprise you.

Cracking stick, wasnt sure what to expect and the hickory BBQ smell/taste is a bit of a Marmite thing, but I enjoyed it. Superb construction with a nice draw and burn that produced a near 2.75 inch ash, a sight to behold on a 4 inch cigar.
