An initial taste of wet leaves and campfire (first half an inch) that makes way for creamy vanilla and sweeter chocolate on the palate pretty quickly. The sweetness endures for the next 3/5ths of the cigar and is joined with floral and roasted coffee notes. The burn rate and burn-symmetry is impeccable throughout and it is mellow but with a kick that never overwhelms - a silky smoothness that exudes quality. The ash is white - indicative of incredible soil quality - and coupled with the odd sip of an IPA beer cherry flavours are unearthed. As the piece heats up, the final fifth displays cut dried hay and black pepper flavours and becomes far earthier but maintains its smoothness. The quality of this cigar is unsurpassed in my opinion; impeccably built using the best leaves. I’d love to try one of these in 5-years or so after some ageing, but frankly, having them in a humidor and not smoking them will be an exercise in futility.
