The Ardor Pipe has a history dating back to 1911, when the four Rovera brothers - Frederico, Carlo, Cornelio and Franscesco of Varese, Italy began the Manufacture of Briar Pipes. There they produced numerous styles of pipes under the Rovera name which were sold throughout Europe. In the early years, the majority of the pipes were machine made and only a small portion were handmade. The pipe factory used the many rivers as a source of power to cut and work the briar.
A Half-Bent Reddish-Brown Sabbiata Freehand with a Light Polished rim top to the Bowl accentuates the synergy of this beautiful Pipe with it’s Blue Acrylic Mouthpiece. There is a Galatite Band fitted to the Shank and a Silver Band on the Mouthpiece. Galatite is an unusual material that is similar to Ivory in appearance & texture, but is actually made from Milk. It is more generally found in the Italian Fashion Trade, where it is used to make Buttons for top-end clothes that Italy is famous for. A Pipe full of character and intrigue.
This pipe has been individually photographed, so that the pipe you see in the picture is the pipe you will receive.
