An old bottle of Antiquary that predates their famous angular bottle, we believe this originates from around the 1970/80s.
The brand was established in 1888 by J & W Hardie and was named after a novel by Sir Walter Scott.
A blend of some of Scotland's greatest malt and grain whiskies, including Royal Lochnagar, Tomatin, Cragganmore, Mortlach, Bowmore, Glenkinchie to name a few.
Please note as this is a vintage bottle, conditions of bottle/label and liquid level can vary - The years are estimations only (example: estimated 1970s/80s).
Nose: Medium-body with notes of soft peat smoke and a rooty character. There are herbal notes with a cut hay character and hints of winter berries.
Palate: Quite well-rounded and full. There are notes of cut hay and honey, caramel and a touch of dry oak as a little fruit note develops.
Finish Long and smooth.
