Im a big fan of Laphroaig and cant wait for each new batch of 10 Year Cask Strength with this December Batch 15 expression impressing me with its power. As they say, it really is the purest way to experience the taste created by the land, sea and air of Islay. A must have, Ill be purchasing another once this one is out.


A beautiful fruity whisky but with heavy smoke. Buttery and fruity but i recommend adding a touch of water to bring out the fruit more. Im surprised the smoke has stayed as usually peated whisky loses some smoke flavour.


My first foray into Honduran cigars, and my word what a smoke! For reference, my usual smokes are Quorum shade growns, Monte No. 4s and pretty much anything Fuente (especially on a Friday). Im not going to go mad trying to describe all the flavours: all Ill say is I thoroughly enjoyed this start to finish (and I do mean finish, there must have only been half and inch left when I finally put this away). Smooth as silk to start, but plenty of favour. Even on the back end, as the smoke started to warm up, there was only the slightest hint of bitterness. Enjoyed with HMS Victory navy rum from the IoW Distillery.

