Kendal Grasmere Medium Flake Pipe Tobacco (Loose)
Date Added: Tuesday 12 September, 2017
Grasmere flake holds off on the woody notes in favour of a full dose of powerful floral notes and aromas with a sweet cream undertone! Be warned: This is easily the most potently aromatic of the range, so it might not be everyone’s cup of tea, as the powerful floral taste can almost taste a little soapy (in fact, I once read a review for it that simply said “Whoops, I think I just put Imperial Leather in my pipe by mistake!) But if you like that element of Condor’s character, then this blend will give you it by the bucket load! Calum - Chester Turmeaus

I liked it the smoky taste but the tin smelled like a disinfectant cleaner cleaner and a car air freshener in a good way the second smell was my grandfather's opinion.

Kendal Balkan Mixture Pipe Tobacco 50g (Tin)
Date Added: Friday 03 July, 2020
Yes as the two reviews before me state this tobacco has an extremely over bearing perfumed smell on the initial opening and being a newbie to pipes I got impatient and attempted to smoke a bowl after just 5 mins of opening, Ill be quite frank, I thought it was very unpleasant it reminded me of perfume and whiskey but not in a pleasant way. I then emptied the whole lot and put it back loose in the tine and left the lid off as it is quite compressed and moist. The day after I found that the smell of the tobacco had changed a lot, to me smelled of a nice sweet normal tobacco. I lit up a bowl and was pleasantly surprised at how smooth it was and how it had transformed. To my pallet it does have a very nice complex flavour to it, subtle sweetness and floral/fruity nuttiness about it. As far as room note goes its a nice aroma with hints of what you taste. I give this a personal rating of 3 beacause if you are like me and looking for something with a bit more flavour for example, I really like the principe Chico chocolate cigars and want something akin to that flavour and aroma wise

King Edward Imperial Cigars - Pack of 5
Date Added: Friday 17 February, 2012
I have smoked these in the past, but not seen them in the UK for a long time. I was keen to get reacquainted, and bought a packet of these and a packet of Invincibles. I have to say I was disappointed. I felt there was little flavour, it tasted plain and a little synthetic, more Castella than Henri Winterman. I think I saw a review here that rated the King Edward over the Henri Winterman. I often smoke the HW Half Coronas as a low cost alternative to the more expensive Cuban cigars(a more infrequent treat); while the HMs are also mass-produced by machine, for my palette I find they are much more tasty and distinctively flavoured, and also more firmly wrapped. To be charitable, maybe the King Edwards are just very mild, and that my taste has developed since I last smoked them. However, they aren't for me, and I shall be sticking to HM for my cheap smokes, unless anyone can recommend any alternatives!

K by Karen Berger Salomon Connecticut Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Monday 01 May, 2023
Received this as a birthday present so thankfully I didn’t waste my money on it, because I got to say, I have never had a more unpleasant smoking experience. For a £21 stick made in the same factory as AJ Fernandez, to say the build and quality control was abysmal would be an understatement. Runs and tunnels on the underside required constant burn corrections and very little if any smoking. Sadly, it was only the final third that resembled a proper cigar, and I could actually smoke and taste it. Flavour-wise, it was actually a very nice blend but as stated I only got to experience the final third or so. Would’ve love to be able to try the whole thing. As my brothers cigar (exact same) was burning just fine, my verdict on the Salomon is that quality control is very very hit and miss. I would avoid the Salomon like the plague and try a different vitola instead. Can’t recommend this one at all.

Kristoff Sumatra Lancero Cigar - 1 Single

Draw is pretty poor. Didn?t burn even. For my taste, it?s was for me quite strong with a massive taste of spice. At least I tried it but not one I would go back to.
