Montecristo Open Master Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Sunday 17 May, 2020
Firstly, I would like ot say thankyou to Mitchell Orchant for recommending this cigar as I found it to be one of the most complex smokes I think I have ever had. I can only describe it as being similar to a fine sauce; after the initial 1/2 inch, which to my ageing palate, was quite spicy and peppery, the rest of the cigar carried a depth of flavour surrounded by other more subtle flavours. It is the first time I have picked up on what others say of coffee and caramel undertones. If you like a fuller but not overpowering flavour throughout your cigar, I would highly recommend this one. Its one of those that I will ensure is always in my humidor from now on.

Montecristo Open Master Tubed Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Friday 03 September, 2021
My first Cuban cigar ever and I really was missing out!! Usually I go for cheaper cigars like the Invicta or Charltan but they have nothing on a Cuban! There was a slight crack at the end which was disappointing but the team sent me a replacement, but being my first Cuban I didn’t want that to spoil the experience having spent my pay rise on some Cubans. It smoked perfectly! Nice and even! Smooth as anything! Had some nice flavours and not that much build up as it came to the end. Needless to say this will be my go to cigar from now on! I have been converted. But will limit it to special occasions. Highly recommend for a first smoke!

Montecristo Open Regata Cigar - Box of 20
Date Added: Friday 01 March, 2024
I'm quite the novice when it comes to cigars, but these have to be my favourite in the Montecristo range. The No.2 is a much bigger cigar and quite bitter in taste, but the Open Regatta is a very smooth and buttery smoke. In mid conversation, these can easily last around 45 minutes or more. After cutting and toasting, the draw is excellent from start to finish and i'm very happy with the purchase.

Montecristo Petit Edmundo Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Thursday 03 July, 2014
Petit edmundo ..what a lovely smoke, for me personally it was light to medium in flavour but it had a bit of class about it, quite an elegant smoke.the one I had was a little under filled but I won't hold that against it.it burned maybe a bit quicker because of that yet the flavour was lovely.spicey peppery with caramel and milk chocolate.i have strong black coffee with all my cigars I smoke.being an ex chef, what brings flavour out is heat.hot strong coffee for me really accents and brings out the flavours in a cigar.leaves a lovely taste on the lips and as with most cigars for me the flavours and taste hang around for many hours after.so I can really enjoy the whole smoking experience which is more than just the duration of the cigar.id happily have more petit edmundos But first im going to try its big brother the edmundo.stick half a dozen or a box of these in your humidor you won't go far wrong.perfect smoke either in the morning or early afternoon . seriously lovely.

Montecristo Petit Edmundo Cigar - 1 Single

First off. Montecristo are by far my favourite Cuban brand. Short robusto's are my favourite too, so what does this combination give you? I'll tell you. That typical Monte Edmundo flavour is classic, the shorter length intensifies the experience tenfold, heavy and deep earth with deep espresso like coffee notes with a sweet cream on the finish, this slowly changes as you reach the middle, a slight cayenne like spice mixing with that earth and cream really hits you full on, and it's goodbye present is an intensified spice, a little too much for me but nevertheless. One of my all time favourites.

Montecristo Petit Edmundo Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Friday 17 February, 2017
I opened a new box of Montecristo Petit Edmundo from 2013 and I just loved the beautiful oily wrapper and the look of the old band. A lot of people don’t like the old band because they feel that it looks ‘’cheap’’ but I love it because is a simple design. Many cigar companies focus more on the decoration of their bands and boxes than on the quality of their cigars. Some of the best cigars I ever smoked used simple bands and come inside simple boxes. The cigar begins quite earthy as usual with a Montecristo, fresh herb notes and very smooth. The flavour developed into a woody and black pepper taste but with a sweet smoke at the same time. The cigar finishes with a full bodied strength, very rich earthy and herb taste with the classic Montecristo pepper notes. This is a great sized cigar for 35-40 minutes smoke, which I found smother in comparison with other Montecristo sizes. Perfect with an espresso or a dram of C.gars Cigar Malt after lunch. David.
