Davidoff Winston Churchill The Late Hour Petit Panetela Cigar - Tin of 5
Date Added: Saturday 24 January, 2026
This is easily one of my favourite cigars in the smaller format. While it’s on the pricier side for its length and ring gauge, the flavour profile more than makes up for it. Expect rich dark chocolate notes, a touch of malt, and a pleasant underlying sweetness. In the final third, the sweetness deepens and the chocolate really comes into its own. Well worth trying if you don’t mind the premium price tag. I originally brought a single then came back for this tin to have some in my humidor for when the time comes.

Don Pepin Garcia by My Father Cigars Series VC Imperiales - Box of 20
Date Added: Wednesday 21 January, 2026
A nice cigar for the price - draws well and delivers a uniquely peppery yet smooth and sophisticated smoke that pairs rather well with a sweet drink and some light confectionery. I actually removed the bands and smoked it down to a stub I was enjoying myself that much. Burns very evenly and overall a great cigar for both newcomers and more experienced enjoyers of cigars. I paired mine with a buffalo trace old fashioned and as for the confectionery some sweet nuts, cheese crackers and salted pretzels. A very sophisticated endeavor that's for certain.

De Olifant Robusto Valentino Cigar - 1 Single

When rating this cigar, context is key. I was specifically hunting for an affordable 30 - 40 minute smoke to enjoy while walking the dog - something well-constructed and consistent. This machine-made stick, utilising long-filler tobacco (ideally with a touch of Cuban leaf), hits that brief perfectly. It consistently delivers exactly what I need for a casual outing, earning it a full five stars for its 'fitness for purpose.' My only minor critique is that the final third can leave the palate feeling a bit dry with a slightly ashy aftertaste. I’m curious to see if a few months in the humidor will smooth that out, but even as-is, I will certainly be restocking. The search for the ultimate cheap long-filler continues, but for now, this is my reliable go-to.

Drew Estate Factory Smokes Maduro Toro Cigar - 1 Single

I received this cigar as part of the Try Something New mystery cigar offer and it offers very good value for money. The dark wrapper has an appealing appearance and, overall, construction was decent. It was, however, let down slightly by a lack of consistency, with a few soft spots noticeable along the length. The draw was very good straight after first light, which is worth noting as cigars of this size can often smoke on the tight side. The first third was pleasant and approachable, delivering earthy flavours alongside some leather and a light touch of pepper. As the cigar moved into the second third, it developed some enjoyable hazelnut notes. These flavours were not entirely consistent, coming and going rather than remaining firmly established, but were welcome when present. In the final third a slight bitterness did appear, though nothing overpowering, and the cigar remained perfectly smokeable right to the end. Overall, this is a solid value cigar and I’m glad I gave this Drew Estate cigar a go. It is not something I would regularly reach for, but it did exactly what t

Drew Estate Acid Krush Classic Red Cameroon Cigar - 1 Single (Discontinued)

Sweet cigar I enjoyed with a friend for his first smoke. Tobacco isn’t bad for a £6 cigarillo, strength was very mild. Sweetness was a bit much for me, I’d rather have the blondie. My friend enjoyed the taste and he couldn’t feel much nicotine so I guess for a beginner it’s a good way to dabble your feet in.
