Received this as part of the monthly subscription pack and stored it in the humidor at a steady 68% for around 3 months. The cap was very short so I used a punch cutter. An uneven burn was rapidly apparent with the centre filler burning faster than the rest and the wrapper which seemed thicker than in many other cigars reluctant to burn at all. Several touchups and removal of unburned wrapper needed. When into the last 2 inches the wrapper became strangely wrinkled and the cigar needed several relights. I gave up on it. In fairness, perhaps this was a bad example or maybe I should have given it a couple of days outside the humidor first.

I?m fairly new to cigars and struggle to identify some of the more subtle flavours however this was a wonderful smooth smoke that I thoroughly enjoyed.

This is a budget Cuban cigar that comes at a very affordable price, it is unbeatable. The construction is not bad despite the poor looks. It burns fine, but needed some corrections. The ash is light grey and stable, it fell only at the end of the second third. It gives a good amount of smoke and the draw is easy. On the first third, I got vegetal, leather, and earthy notes. On the second third, I felt a bit of creaminess and sweetness. The last third provides a lot of creamy and toasty notes and the sweetness is more pronounced. To be honest, the quality varies from 1 cigar to another, but overall this is not a bad smoke. I enjoyed it so I recommend it for those that want to try a Cuban without breaking the wallet.

These are a great budget Cuban. A little one dimensional but you get the Cuban flavours for a reasonable price. Its worth keeping them at the lower end of humidity or dry boxing them for a couple of days like any Cuban to avoid a tight draw and a bad experience. But they arent rolled as tightly as some. Slightly better than the Jose Piedra which is accurately reflected in the price. Definitely up there with a Partagas Serie D in my opinion.

Had this in my humidor for about 6 months now and decided to smoke it on Sunday. Within 5-10 minutes of being lit the whole cigar went soft and went out and I subsequently binned it.
