Kilkerran 8 Year Old Cask Strength Sherry - 57.5% 70cl

This highly coveted single malt is a product of Campbeltown's Glengyle distillery, representing the cask strength expression of Kilkerran single malt.

Bottled at 57.4% ABV and aged in ex-Oloroso casks for the full eight years, delivering a rich tapestry of flavors.

This beautiful 8YO Cask Strength Kilkerran is from the February 2024 release.

Kilkerran is the name of whisky produced at the Glengyle distillery situated in the town of Cambletown on the stunning Kintyre Peninsula, West Scotland. Killerran is a derivative of the name ’Ceann Loch Cille Chiarain’ in Gaelic which was the early settlement where Campbeltown is now situated.

It was the same site where Saint Kieran had his religious cell. The Glengyle name is already used for vatted malt elsewhere so the decision was taken to call the whisky brand Kilkerran.

Nose: Roasted nuts, honeyed ham, and prunes sprinkled with cinnamon.

Palate: There is an initial chocolate flavour, followed by red chilli flakes, ginger, oatcake, and peppercorns.

Finish: Dried fruit is still present, along with a nutmeg.
