Nomination of Inca for 'Best Brand Other Countries' at the InterTabac Cigar Trophy Awards Ceremony 2017.

Pelo D'Oro is an exceptionally difficult leaf to successfully grow as it is susceptible to blue mould disease however we have managed to harvest enough grade A leaf at Tabacalera del Oriente in Peru to blend a remarkably sweet, full flavour, complex, premium cigar that we believe is one of the best ever New World cigars.

It took us over 18 months since we started the project to get it exactly right - treat yourself to a meticulously crafted, unique cigar.

From wrapper to filler, with 100% Peruvian tobacco and 100% made by hand in our factory in Tarapoto, Peru. We have extensive quality control including having each cigar draw tested to ensure you get a perfect smoke with every one of our cigars.

Closer to a Nicaraguan in strength, but a unique full flavour, balanced and smooth with vein free wrapper and exceptionally good construction.

Many people have asked what they can compare these cigars with – Cubans, Dominicans? Hondurans? Nicaraguans? The answer is that you can’t compare them. The reason is that the other regions mentioned all make superb cigars and our Peruvian Puros are quite simply different.

Tasting Notes

This cigar is a strange looking vitola but one I can see fitting into the UK market perfectly. It sort of looks like a Toro cigar that has had the first two thirds cut off, the size is 54 ring gauge and 3 ¼” length which is unique to the market. What this gives you is the full smoky flavours from a large cigar, but in a format that is ideal for a quick hit of pleasure. Whether you are walking the dog with a cigar, or a having a quick herf with friends outside a bar, it will ensure your fingers don’t get too cold in the winter months but you won’t miss out on a burst of great taste.

It looks small, but the chunky size means you’ll get a good 35 minutes of blissful smoking time. It’s also made with the exclusive Pelo D’oro seed which is an exceptionally difficult plant to grow successfully but the benefits are a silky smooth, sweet and complex finish to the flavour.

The cigar begins earthy with mellow notes of cedar which develop into leather, coffee and an earthy creaminess. Medium strength, full of flavour and perfect when you don’t have much time but want to get the experience of a bigger cigar. Definitely a great cigar that will be easy on your bank balance!

Its a pretty decent cigar, the flavour is good with a slight bitter after taste. Lasts about 30 minutes and has a good draw. Downsides are; the band is poorly constructed and rips off like a piece of cardboard and the wrapper itself was not pliable and has fallen apart in my last few smokes. Id recommend it for what its priced at. If they fixed the wrapper issue, it be pretty ace.

Tried one this am,Lit and drew well,a lot of smoke even when not taking a toke. Quickly got to the,in my opinion,an overlarge band for the size of this cigar,I carefully removed band but found the outer wrapper unwound quite a bit as I continued the smoke. Smoke was reasonable but it seemed to burn in the centre more rather than a nice even ash burn leaving remnants of the unwinding outer wrapper which needed to be burnt off. As can be expected from the above I was a tad disappointed hence the three stars

Very surprised by this cigar, reviews Ive seen talked about how strong it was but its a surprisingly delicate and complex cigar. Absolutely delicious, crisp burn and white Ash that failed to fall off when I accidentally dropped the cigar. Very very impressed and so be stocking up with a few of these for the humi
