Davidoff Winston Churchill Traveller Belicoso Cigar - Tin of 4
Date Added: Friday 28 September, 2018
Not a large cigar but perfect for 20 mins or so. This cigar is lovely and light yet with a creaminess and slight white pepper that lends a certain richness to it. With voluminous smoke for its size, for the price this is all in all a fantastic non-Cuban cigar. On balance of price and graded as a non-Cuban this thoroughly deserves 5 stars.

Romeo y Julieta Petit Coronas Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Thursday 27 September, 2018
My first Romeo Y Julieta cigar so I was excited knowing the history of this famous Havana cigar. It is 23 degrees and a gorgeous blue sky day so I am sat outside on my patio. The first half of this cigar was very pleasant and a joy on my palate. The second half’s texture became soft and I had to relight the cigar twice. Given the choice the Por Larranaga Petit Coronas and H Upmann Majrstic offer better value and better quality of burn.

AVO Classic Uvezian Puritos - 1 Single
Date Added: Thursday 27 September, 2018
Warm with rich aromas at a medium body. Very flavoursome with hints of sandalwood and fruits. I got a leisurely and pleasant 25 minute smoke out of it. The pull was firmer than the AVO Domaine but that didnt take away from the overall experience. I would highly recommend. Im extremely impressed with the AVO line.

Alec Bradley Texas Lancero Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Friday 21 September, 2018
Ha, what a beast of a cigar to handle! If only for this reason its a worthwhile experiment in ones endurance. This smoker was not overwhelmed by the flavours though preparing for disappointment I was pleasantly surprised to find a bit of sweetness and leathery texture that settled nicely a third in. Its pleasant if not massively engaging but considering just how much smoke there is with this one Id declare this consistency as a bonus. At no point does it become unpleasant or a chore. Burn was even and construction solid and Ive encountered no problems. Again, a surprise considering its magnitude. Its hard to deem it a go to smoke, neither the flavour nor the vitola suggests that. But its a great experience all the same and you should try it if you have the time and courage.

Joya de Nicaragua Clasico Torpedo Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Friday 21 September, 2018
As I stated elsewhere for this cigar but in a different vitola, this is a well rounded, pleasant and sufficiently complex stick. In this reiteration it might be this smokers favourite as it impresses with its construction and a lengthy smoking time allows for this mellow blend to sooth and relax you whilst providing a rewarding, flavoursome experience. After a dozen plus smoked in various situations it is yet to disappoint- it draws and burns nicely and develops in some subtle yet never overwhelming ways. Perfect for a lazy evening or lunch when you have time to spare.

Por Larranaga Petit Coronas Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Thursday 20 September, 2018
Recently retired on health grounds so have time to enjoy the finer things in life. I smoked my first Por Larranaga Petit Coronas outside on my garden patio, in Luton, while storm Ali was blowing through. I had Buena Vista Social Club playing out of my cordless JBL speaker. A mug of Twinnings Breakfast Tea helped to clear my palate. The cigar feels great in the hand and lit well in the squarly winds. Lovely grey ash and burn was easy 40 minutes down to the last inch. Draw was fantastic and my palate was left with a creamy finish. I now know why the Por Larranaga Petit Coronas is so popular. I am new to cigars and this was easy and effortless and flavoursome without being overpowering. No bitterness and just right for me.
