Mediocre smoke, with a heavy acrid taste on the tongue. Would not recommend.

Complex mouthfeel with toffee, chewy caramel, slight vanilla and light molasses on the palate. Not as spicy as the standard Balvenie 12 year old but it does develop a slight spiciness on the finish. Brown sugar, fruit and more spice to follow.

An easy sipper for any occasion, reminiscent of the Balvenie Doublewood but with an unexpected character for a 12 year old. Oak spice and plenty of vanilla notes, caramel and buttery chocolate with some spice and cinnamon on the palate. Dry finish with honey and liquorice flavours.

Delicious fruity aromas on the nose. Apples, pear, honey, orange zest and sherry sweetness with a hint of spice. Balanced and full bodied, on the palate we can find more honey notes, orchard fruit and slight spice, blending in with dark fruits and toffee flavours. Long, fruity finish with malty oaky notes, fading into cocoa and spice.

Thick with distinctive fruit notes like peach, apricot, prune and lots of golden raisins as well as hints of cherry. Sherry bomb with a pronounced alcoholic flavour without being overwhelming. Just what you would expect from a cask strength whisky! Ginger pepperiness, bittersweet notes of dark chocolate and espresso on the finish.

A classic Highland scotch, no mistake! Very syrupy mouthfeel, honey sweetness, complex flavour with barley notes, oak spice and more honey to follow. Not overpoweringly sweet with hints of cloves and pepper on the finish!
