Villiger Export Pressed Maduro Cigar - Pack of 5 (5 cigars)
Date Added: Tuesday 09 February, 2021
First third was very bland, none of the tastes that other reviewers have mentioned. Picked up a little 2/3 in. Very harsh on the tongue 3/3. Burn was even but very fast, ash fell off unexpectedly soon into my lap. Very light draw. Lots of bits of tobacco in my mouth. Might benefit from more humidity, the one I tried was straight out the box. Smoked it with a fairly strong Japanese whiskey, that may have been its downfall as the flavours may have been overpowered. Not a real fan of the square shape in my mouth. For the price they are a chunky little smoke and are easily accessable at supermarkets (got mine from Asda). Fairly bland but not totally unpleasant. 2.5/5.

LCDH Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure de Luxe - 1 Single
Date Added: Tuesday 09 February, 2021
Being a massive fan of the epicure 2 I decided to give the de luxe a try. I’m a bit sceptical about the lCDH line as it seems a bit hit n miss in my opinion. Nonetheless I gave it a try and wasn’t disappointed. Upon lighting I was met with flavour of slight pepper and cinnamon. The pepper died down almost immediately. The second third continued with the cinnamon met with some vanilla and honey in the background. Most of the final third continued that same profile. I did get hints of leather which tended to come and go. Burn was great and combustion also. Didn’t have to relight. My final thoughts are it’s a nice cigar and not too much in difference to the epicure 2 which makes you think what’s the point. But considering it has the same price point you could take your pick or take both and compare.

Inka Secret Blend Red Half Corona Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Monday 08 February, 2021
I bought a four pack of these recently and found that every one had a poor cap, which led to the wrapper starting to unravel and the smoke wasnt as enjoyable as it could have been. The tobacco itself though is very nice, a mild and sweet taste with plenty of smoke and a good draw which got a bit peppery in the last third.. The burn wasnt particularly even all the way down with some touch ups required but the ash held well.

Davidoff Grand Cru No. 2 Cigar - 1 Single

So, I compared it to the NUB 354, and definitely find the NUB to be a superior smoke, especially at £13 a stick.

NUB Connecticut 354 Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Monday 08 February, 2021
This is the one! I recently smoked a Davidoff Grand Cru, at around £25, for comparison. For me, this is a superior easy-going smoke and ive now confirmed it as my go-to cigar (Hoyo number 2 being another contender). These NUBs just give me everything- great draw, good structure of flavours, good amount of smoke and perfect in the hand. Congrats NUB!
