The usual excellent 2 days del from C.GARS and the humidor arrived. There is almost overkill in the box as there are more than enough goodies to set you up. No ABC instructions but easy enough to set up and, as I have said, comprehensive instructions. All filled up and then and seemingly working very well and the only observation is that the Hygrometer is slightly offset from the factory but I will take a look at that some time and straighten it up so yes, nice quality humidor and also a nice piece of furniture.

I usually go for the lighter bodied cigars, but I thought Id give this one a go. I was surprised at how kind this cigar was; I was expecting a tighter draw as the cigar was pretty packed, especially for a 60 ring gauge, however it seems as though the construction was perfect. I had no issues with the draw at all, which is one of the most important things to me in a cigar experience. Throughout the first third I wasnt quite sure what to expect, and as I smoked I noticed an ever so slight bitterness, which thankfully didnt last long. it was followed by notes of white pepper and coffee, and then carried through to a dominant oakiness with a touch of fruity sweetness on the aftertaste through the last two thirds. I think that for a brand Id never tried before, I definitely wouldnt say no to one of these in future. Going in my favourites.

Davidoff Demi Tasse Cigar - Pack of 10

I do like these, but I dont love them and, as others have remarked, they are significantly more bitter (than I was expecting, anyway) for a light to medium Davidoff. Still the same quality as its bigger brothers, though.
Would be interested to try any alternatives others might care to recommend of a similar vitola.
