Tight and boring.. I hate leaving negative reviews, but I expected so much more based on the other reviews. Maybe I got a dud?

Nice cigar everything has been done for you, ends clip and punctured, tube makes it easy to keep at the correct moisture content. Smoked well with and even burn throughout and a nice flavour. Going to defiantly buying some more of these, ordered 5 different types of cigar, by far J. Cortes was the best value for money.

This one did not do it for me. I found the flavour and smell indescribably overpowering. Really not pleasant at all, as I have the blessing that is a sensitive smell and taste.

Grabbed a pair of these at the local, first of the pair burned for 1 hour and 20 minutes, the second is on the go now with similar characteristics. Note well, that these were not in a humidor but merely in the cigarette rack at my local! Imperfect storage, certainly! There for a long while, assuredly - being that I live in the provinces. However, the quality is superb! Strongly considering a purchase for 25 of the same, cant recommend them strongly enough, and if there are ney-sayers, I say snobs, snobs, snobs! Grab a 25 wrap and tell me youd rather have spent twice that on tightly wound Cubans! And thats just their women! In recognition of the criticisms that I am sure are out there, yes they burn slightly uneven, and yes! you may need to keep the short burning side on top to even it up. Timely reminder! These are near half the price of cigars that promise by brand reputation to promise that even burn, and guess what! Often they dont! Look at the reviews, allot of dear people, spent a dear penny hoping for perfection and guess what, in ever factory, one cigar in 5 or so comes out j

The first third is tasteless, but great for when you are having a drink and just want to smoke; its well constructed, easy draw with lots of smoke and doesnt wreck your chest. It does tend to go out, but its huge so that just means you can take a break and relight it and it lasts most of the evening.
The flavour really changes as it goes down, more than most cigars.
The final few drags have a distinct and powerful flavour that reminds me of blue cheese and is literally the tastiest bit of cigar ive ever had. I smoked a few before leaving this review because initially I thought it must have got mouldy in my humidor, but they are all like this (they do benefit from a rest though, even just a few weeks in the humidor makes a difference). If you like to smoke a cigar down to the bitter end when its almost burning your lips like I do then you get plenty of this really tasty bit, and these babies are well made for doing just that as it doesnt seem to burn too hot at the end.
By the way the same flavour thing goes for the robustos except you dont get the flavourless bit at the star

A great looking wrapper that was faultless in appearance.
It was a tighter draw than IÂ’m used to having. And the smoke needed a double draw to keep it going for the first ten minutes.
The flavour was lovely and sweet with some Earth. This cigar is fine medium strength.
The ash held magnificently and it just held so well. The burn really good too, not needing any touch ups and it burned evenly.
Though IÂ’m glad I tried this, I doubt IÂ’ll revisit this particular cigar.
All in all, good, not great, good flavour, just not for me.
