NUB Maduro 464 Torpedo Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Thursday 09 June, 2022
This is one of my very favourite cigars. I’ve never had a bad one. Although it’s short, the ring 464 has got a nice, big ring gauge so it’s a very easy draw and it’ll take you a good hour or so. To be honest, I can find myself letting these go out and coming back to them later- it’s not a small cigar! It has a good, even burn (once you’ve got it going, that is). I’ve also enjoyed the Connecticut 464 on occasion, but for choice, I always come back to the Maduro for its full-bodied flavour. It pairs really well with strong, black coffee, too.

Drew Estate Acid Blondie Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Thursday 09 June, 2022
This is a cigar that’s often recommended for newcomers and, for some reason, women. Personally, I found it far too sweet - it was like smoking an ice-cream. On the plus side, it’s well-constructed and it probably would appeal to someone new to cigars, being pretty mild and a fairly short smoke as well as being flavoured. Not for me, though- I prefer something a bit stronger!

Umnum Jumbo Cigar - 1 Single (End of Line)

I am a return smoker to cigars. I have had a lite italian style lunch with Sicilian red wine and found it a good relaxing smoke that complements that meal . I would gladly smoke this again

Regius Connecticut Gran Toro Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Wednesday 08 June, 2022
For a “gran toro” size, it’s decent value for money. I’ve had the “grandido” before and found it a brilliant smoke for a Churchill size. This was OK, but it had a very ‘powdery’, ashy burn to it, which let it down a bit, and gave it a dry taste. That said, it burned evenly and lasted as long as you’d expect; getting on for two hours. For a few quid more, I’d go for the Brickhouse “Mighty Mighty” instead in future.

Inka Secret Blend Blue Bombaso Maduro Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Wednesday 08 June, 2022
After having smoked two of the “red” (long filler) version of this cigar in the last year or two, I promised myself I’d try the blue (short filler) version to see if the difference was discernible, given the slight price difference. I can honestly say the difference is massive! OK, I’m only basing it on one cigar, but nothing about it was as good as the red version. It burned poorly and unevenly, to the point I had to try in vain multiple times to even it out, or even just keep it going at all. The difference in flavour was surprising, and perhaps down to the amount of tampering I was having to do with it. I was basically just smoking something that was on fire. Don’t let this put you off the whole brand… just pick the right cigar from them and don’t skimp the extra couple of quid; it just isn’t worth it. The red bombasso and half corona are brilliant value for money and I’ll be sticking to them.

Oliva Serie G Cameroon Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Tuesday 07 June, 2022
Unbelievable value! A cracking 20-25 mins smoke taking it easy, plenty of aromatic smoke and a rich, woody flavour without being too strong. I paired mine with an espresso and a single malt, sat in the sun and relaxed. Other than maybe a Mitchellero, you won’t find better value.
