La Flor Dominicana El Carajon Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Wednesday 06 August, 2025
I had high hopes for this cigar but was alas disappointed. It lights well, and burns very well but the wrapper started unravelling immediately. I had not cigar glue, and this spoiled my enjoyment no end. The flavour was up and down throughout the 30-minute smoke time, sometimes smooth and flavoursome, then harsh and unpleasant. I don't know if this was because of the poor build quality of my cigar. Perhaps I was unlucky in getting a poorly-made one, and I may have enjoyed it more if I'd had some cigar glue to repair it. I might try it again at some point, but based on this experience alone, it was not value for money.

Montecristo No. 4 Cigar - Pack of 5
Date Added: Tuesday 05 August, 2025
These have long been one of my favourite cigars to enjoy with an afternoon coffee. The classic Cuban flavour is smooth, rich, and never disappoints in taste. Unfortunately, my most recent 5-pack was a letdown. Every stick had a tight draw and required frequent relighting, which took away from the overall experience. It’s a shame, because when they’re good, they’re truly excellent — but the inconsistent quality control makes it a gamble.

Joya de Nicaragua Flor De Nicaragua Toro Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Monday 04 August, 2025
Flawless construction, wrapper is quite veiny but nice looking and oily to touch, nice cold draw with just a touch of resistance using a guillotine cut. Probably the sharpest burn I've seen in a long time, absolutely razor sharp. Ash holds on for 2-3cm revealing a perfect cone, zero relights or corrections needed. Somke is a touch thin but lovely and cool, fairly straightforward flavour with spicy black pepper upfront alongside wood and leather, some subtle sweetness in the background, no strength and light to low medium body. A absolute steal at this price point.

Mantis Cigarmaster Guillotine Cutter - Tiffany Blue
Date Added: Monday 04 August, 2025
Exceptionally clean cut, absolutely zero tearing of the wrapper and completely straight. The serations on the blades grip the cigar ensuring superb accuracy, no blade wander or cuts at funny angles. Considerably larger than I imagined considering the absolute bargain price, feels really solid and well built, comfortable to use, the inbuilt steel cigar holder is a nice touch.

Plasencia Alma Del Cielo Amanecer Hexagono Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Monday 04 August, 2025
I hate typing up unfavourable reviews, but I think I got unlucky. Let me first stress that this review is unique in as far as it's the first to have been remotely negative as CGars.com have never let me down prior. Sadly this Plascencia was poor from the first cut using a V Cut with a good branded cutter. The wrapper basically fell to pieces and the smoke ended up being tarry and ridiculously harsh. I've had plascencia on many occasions and this surprised me as I've never had a poor one. What you must understand is that cigars are like cars, every now and again you get a lemon. Just to confirm the cigar was kept in my humidor at the perfect humidity and temp.

Alec Bradley Texas Lancero Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Sunday 03 August, 2025
Received one of these as a Birthday Present, last Year, and have just got around to sampling it. Definitely the biggest Ring Guage, I've sampled to Date, and at least I can now say that I've tried one. Plentiful Smoke Output, but an extremely Tight Draw throughout Notes of Coffee and Leather to begin, but then a bitter flavour into the final 3rd, where a hint of Sweettness crept in. Well constructed, and the Ash came away in a large Chunk, towards the end of the 2nd Third. Whilst I'm glad I sampled this Cigar, it's performance doesn't reflect its price, so I unfortunately won't be purchasing another.
