An enjoyable curly cut blend of dark Kentucky and sun cured tobacco based from the tinned version. This pipe tobacco (pouch version) has a distinctive woody flavour with a smooth smoking sensation with hints of cocoa and subtle tones of malt whisky and florals. An aromatic mixture of dark Kentucky and Burly Tobacco with flavours of Cherry and a hint of vanilla. The aroma is welcoming with a powerful scent but delicate and sweet, pleasant to smoke with plenty of enjoyment. Medium bodied in taste and flavouring. A bright and rich aromatic burly tobacco, enhanced taste using the finest Kentucky bourbon whiskey that has been matured for several years of developing its full complex flavour. Upon opening the fresh tin of the Ashton winding road pipe tobacco, the aroma has a unique scent that smells like apricot and citrus. Although the tobacco is relatively moist, I would advise to allow drying time and for the tobacco to be smoked easily and preventing any tongue-bite issues. overall a very mellow and pleasant smoke. The careful apportioning of quantities of the seasoning leaf brings about a dark full-bodied mixture.
Flavour, far from being absent, makes that subtle contribution.

Quite a relaxing light aroma whilst burning clean and even from start to finish. The flavours are woody tasting but sweet, with the nuts and maple tones and hints of coconut and chocolate. Best results are to smoke it calm and slow. Michael - C.Gars Ltd
