Great cigar. Caremal flavours through the mouth with a peppery taste through the nose. Great even burn and lasted about an hour. Felt relaxed and calm throughout. Good even burn. Highly recommend.

In almost 25 years of smoking cigars this is the first review I've left, because this cigar is something truly special. In general I only really love certain Cubans, but have been 'working' hard to get a good knowledge of new world cigars. I've been fortunate enough to smoke a very large number of very high end new world cigars at trade show, many impeccably built, blended and presented, but to my personal taste not even close to as enjoyable as a good Cuban. I've been buying and smoking a fair few new world cigars recently to expand my horizons a bit, including this one.
This is the first and so far only new world cigar I've absolutely loved. I've liked some, tolerated some, and hated more than a few. However this Gurkha stick is by far the best non-cuban I've ever smoked, and in fact one of the best cigars I've ever smoked.

These it my smaller pipes fine, and definitely help with grip and protecting the pipe from scratches and teeth-marks. For a while I simply assumed they were too small to use on a lot of my pipes which have the very wide fishtail-type of mouthpiece. But I was wrong, they DO fit, it just takes a great deal of effort to stretch them over the end. Also don't make the mistake I did, and remove your mouthpiece from the pipe before you start wrestling with it, as I ended up damaging the wood of my pipe stem through the force I was applying! 4 stars - because they ARE universal, but I just wish they were a little larger and easier to fit onto larger mouthpieces.

Not for me. It's not a 'bad' smoke per-say, and is actually really satisfying to rub-out and smell. I was looking for something quite full-flavoured, and this is definitely that. It's just a little too much on the 'leathery' & 'boot-polish' side for me. YMMV. Ah well, I'll keep it sealed and may revisit it one day, or possibly add a little to a bowlful of something milder, as a complementary flavour. There's certainly a LOT of flavour there, a lot to unpack; it's very in your face, and I can see why some people might enjoy this. So don't let me put you off it; I'm still glad I tried it.

This is one of my regular go-to smokes when I'd like something light but satisfying. I'd daresay say it's my favourite Virginia, more so than Full Virginia Flake/Plug. While it might lack the complexity of the FVFs (and its closely related counterparts like Best Brown) for some, this one just suits my palate a lot more, and it's one I frequently come back to. Recommended to me by some random guy on Reddit, so I picked a pack up. It didn't actually hit me or grab me at first, but by the fifth or sixth bowl, its appeal was readily apparent. It's sweet, well-rounded, and has some subtle undertones too, such as raisin.

I get it 2 week's ago from leeds . It was dry when I opened it. However, part of that, when I made it fresh and wet after 3 days, I can say Has a light, sweet smoke to it that reminds me of champagne. This blend must be smoked slowly to really let it shine. If you smoke it too quickly, you will loose the beautiful delicate flavor.
