Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 2 Tubed Cigar - Pack of 3
Date Added: Monday 22 April, 2013
For Simon, I think you will find this Robusto cigar may fit your requirements, 50RG suburb looking with the double banding, a good draw and medium strength with notes of fruit and spice through out, I would also recommend the Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchill 55RG a very decadent looking cigar with a suburb draw again medium strength with notes of caramel, fruit and spice both are truly outstanding cigars.

For me this was a lovely morning coffee smoke. The flavours I got we're nutty medium flavours, that went really well with a strong drink. Only slight negative for me was the draw at times was a little tight, otherwise a solid 4/5.

Very much like a Rafarl Gonzales Perla, which to my taste is no bad thing. Great coffee time smoke, would recommend for people new to habanas, really mild and creamy with cocoa and vanilla notes.

Think I had one of those occasional bad bunch of the pack, the draw was really really tight and therefore can only say I was disappointed, the aromas were lovely, cocoa and vanilla notes, it's just a shame I couldn't get anything from the drawer, from the other reviews I see this has not been issue, so I will try another and hopefully not encounter the same problems. Rating based on great aroma but no draw.

To start with cosmetically a really nice looking cigar, well constructed. On lighting really good draw with a thick white smoke, definitely got the coffee and a little pepper for the first two thirds, last third a little spicy for my taste. All in all found this a good solid cuban experience teetering on the fuller flavour, appreciated the quality of this smoke but I prefer a milder sweeter smoke, however can appreciate that this is a quality cigar which would suit many cuban enthusiasts. So the only reason for the 'mark down' is from a personal taste.

Lovely creamy taste throughout, great mild smoke perfect for a 20 minute coffee break, great draw and nice even burn throughout. All together a great little smoke when time is an issue
