Arturo Fuente Magnum Rosado No. 58 Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Tuesday 28 February, 2012
Bought one of these a few weeks ago, just to try it, I was not let down, firmly rolled, but not tight, easy to cut, witha good clean finish, lit evenly with some ease, the draw was even the hole length, with a light mellow flavour, that intensified towards the last 1.5 inches, it did enravel slightly towards the end, hence 4 out of 5, but never the less a great smoke, and I will be sending for more, be sure of that.

Prestige Chateau Humidor - Burl - 20 Cigar Capacity
Date Added: Saturday 25 February, 2012
This is my first humidor, so I don't speak from experience! I am, however, meticulous in my research and spent a lot of time looking at various comments on various humidors to see what was right for me, and this came out on top. I don't smoke a huge amount. Maybe 1 or two a month (if that), but obviously cigars don't take this into account - so I get myself a humidor after a particularly generous friend gave me several nice Cubans for my birthday. The first thing that drew me to this was the burl. I love burls and this is a really nice one. It's darker than in the picture (a good thing) but has the same textured look and is very attractive. It has a nice felt bottom and sits on my desk rather nicely. I was a little concerned about the analogue hygrometer (I've heard they're less reliable) so upgraded to the digital, which seems to be good. I was also a little worried that the humidifier hung down too far (it looks like that in the picture) but rest assured it doesn't. There's a good amount of space in there and the lay-out is nice. The cutter and matches are useful to h

Guantanamera Cristales Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Sunday 19 February, 2012
I agree the Minutos arn\'t very pleasant but the Cristales are a cheap starter Cuban cigar very mild and tasty never harsh or bitter and even burning ideal to practice cigar lighting and cutting even though these are also machine made and already cut, these are a very relaxing cigar for a good hour of smoking. When you are ready to move on to better things i highly recommend PUNCH cigars they are very high quality, well built, lovely taste which is not overpowering and a very pleasant cigar aroma, Hand Rolled in various sizes and prices, the cedar lined tubed Petit Coronations 4 5/8\" x 40 rg right up to THE ORIGINAL CHURCHILL size from c.gars.

King Edward Imperial Cigars - Pack of 5
Date Added: Friday 17 February, 2012
I have smoked these in the past, but not seen them in the UK for a long time. I was keen to get reacquainted, and bought a packet of these and a packet of Invincibles. I have to say I was disappointed. I felt there was little flavour, it tasted plain and a little synthetic, more Castella than Henri Winterman. I think I saw a review here that rated the King Edward over the Henri Winterman. I often smoke the HW Half Coronas as a low cost alternative to the more expensive Cuban cigars(a more infrequent treat); while the HMs are also mass-produced by machine, for my palette I find they are much more tasty and distinctively flavoured, and also more firmly wrapped. To be charitable, maybe the King Edwards are just very mild, and that my taste has developed since I last smoked them. However, they aren't for me, and I shall be sticking to HM for my cheap smokes, unless anyone can recommend any alternatives!

Cohiba Siglo I Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Saturday 11 February, 2012
I've had a couple of these in the past and was a bit disappointed by the experience as I do enjoy the flavours of a good Cohiba, however last night I found one hiding in the humidor and thought I'd give it another go. In the short time it has spent in there it already displayed a marked improvement over others I've had (bearing in mind the others we smoked more or less straight from a walk in humidor). The wrapper was nice and oily and once lit it gave off the typical Cohiba aroma (albeit slightly less spicy). The draw was smooth and provided plenty of velvety, rich smoke, and the burn was consistent throughout. In terms of flavour the main characteristics were a savoury woodiness and mild sweet spice, accompanied by a note of cocoa. Overall I found this a delightful smoke and I'm planning to get a few more, but I'll be sure to let them sit in the humidor for a while before I start on them.
