Hoyo de Monterrey Serie Le Hoyo De San Juan Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Sunday 28 September, 2014
Where can I start about this cigar? I could wax lyrical about the coffee and cream taste and the perfect fill and the delightful colour of the wrapper etc etc but it is much easier to say that since reading that this new ring gauge stick was to be added to the HDM range, I grew excited. I like the larger gauge and love HDMs, so add them together and I was champing at the bit. When C.Gars announced that they now had them in stock I ordered on the first day. I will just say that this cigar has gone straight to the top of my personal hit-list. Magnificent, with subtle changes right down to the final 1/5th. Highly, seriously recommended Like an angel crying on your tongue.

GBD Bombaso Cigar Case - up to 64 ring gauge - Tan
Date Added: Sunday 28 September, 2014
I have just received my tan 64-ring gauge case, which is a perfect fit for the excellent Inka Secret Blend, Azul Blue Bombaso Natural from C.Gars Ltd Beautifully made in top quality leather, with just the right amount of firmness to protect the sticks, but not so as to cause a shaped bulge in a jacket pocket, as though you were carrying a brick! Recommended.

Inka Secret Blend Red Robusto Cigar - Box of 10
Date Added: Friday 26 September, 2014
been casting around for a cigar that would come close the Cubans I enjoy so much but can barely afford now, ordered these on the back of attempting the red band Inkas and being pretty impressed. These are even better, in my opinion the closest cigar yet to a real full strength Cuban cigar, I would even suggest than in a blind tasting they would come pretty close to my favourite Partagas..will be ordering these again- soon.

Caliber IV - Digital Hygrometer Thermometer
Date Added: Thursday 25 September, 2014
My first two purchases were the Xikar Hygrometer Rectangular version. On both of these Xikar hygrometers the tolerance is 2% either way whereas the Caliber IV is 1%. Both Xikars were not within specification using the Boveda Hygrometer Test kit. Bought a Caliber and popped it into the bag and within 24 hours it is reading bang on 75%, as it should. Both Xikars are being returned for the Caliber IV. Fantastic hygrometer with easy to read Relative Humidity (RH) and Temperature and on top of that you can alter the device if it does start to drift. Please don't make the same mistake I did. Go for one of these. You won't be disappointed!

Antonio Gimenez Panatela Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Sunday 21 September, 2014
I bought 2 of these to be sure of seeing if I liked them. I tried them within 5 days of receipt. They are fairly cheap and hopes were not high. I've sampled a good range of cigars over 30 years, but these are easily the least satisfying and most annoying. It is impossible to keep them alight. The burn is temporarily OK until ignition occurs through another nearer segment, (not the tip) leading to a 1 cm length of unburned wrapper and a total burn on the opposite side of the cylinder. Re-lighting is only feasible with a big taper or after trimming the end square. The flavour is fairly harsh, but not bad. For the price one is buying immense frustration with no redeeming features that I could discover. Both samples did exactly the same thing, The Fuente at a similar price were streets ahead.

Romeo y Julieta Petit Churchill Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Friday 19 September, 2014
I am new to the world of cigars - this is my first review! The R&J Petit Churchill is the first cigar I have smoked that wasn't the regular corona shape; perhaps the slightly larger gauge was the reason I found this one a little more difficult to get a good light. Once lit it burnt well, I think I only had to relight twice, both times were really just precautionary re-heats. I enjoyed the pre-light draw, a lot of flavour and a very easy pull - Although I didn't do this on my previous smokes, so I have nothing to compare it to! The first half was pleasant enough, very smooth and with a raisin flavour coming through. I don't have a particularly sensitive palate, so it was nice to be able to pick up a bit of flavour with this smoke. There was occasionally a slightly herbaceous taste creeping in around the half-way point. Finally, there were mild coffee flavours - the last third being the most enjoyable. I'd thought that the Petit Churchill would be very spicy on the lips, but it was surprisingly mild in that sense. All in all an enjoyable 40-45 minute smoke, although I w
