Peter Stokkebye Kentucky Maroon Pipe Tobacco Loose
Date Added: Tuesday 20 May, 2014
This was one of the first pipe tobacco blends I ever tried and I find myself returning to it again and again. I find it to be the ideal balance of aromatic and natural tobacco flavours. It can occasionally be slightly sharp when first lit, but very quickly settles down into a wonderfully mellow smoke, giving notes of honey, nut and chocolate with a delicate room aroma. This is an ideal smoke for people who are looking for a sweet aromatic blend, but find the American style aromatics to be too heavily scented. Also very well suited for beginners, or as an early morning smoke as it is very forgiving on the palate. -Calum, Turmeaus Chester.

Cohiba Behike BHK 56 Cigar - Box of 10 - EMS
Date Added: Monday 19 May, 2014
Had two of these sent to me by my brother who said they were special. I kept them until the time was right, and that time was on the balcony of the Rafters bar at the twenty ten course at Celtic Manor after playing the course. Glass of wine and a stunning view over the 18th was only eclipsed by the splendour of this cigar. My friend and I enjoyed a the smooth taste and the feeling of utter enjoyment as we puffed away. These are quite simply the best cigars I have had (so far) and so much so that when in Cuba last year felt the need to buy a box!! Worth every penny and for special occasions there's possibly not a finer smoke.

Sancho Panza Non Plus Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Sunday 18 May, 2014
There are so many hugely popular marevas out there (Montecristo No.4 and Cohiba Siglo II to name just a couple) that it can be easy for some to be overshadowed, such as the Sancho Panza Non Plus. However, I found this to be a very tasty cigar. The wrapper was smooth, dark and oily and it had a slightly firm draw that loosened up nicely as the cigar progressed. It isn't the most complex smoke, but it gives a very enjoyable and consistent earthy flavour, with hints of nut and a touch of spice when exhaled through the nose. These flavours remain mild throughout, making this an ideal early morning smoke. If you're a fan of the Mareva format I'd certainly recommend at least giving one of these a try. - Calum, Turmeaus Chester.

Inka Secret Blend Red Bombaso Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Saturday 17 May, 2014
From looking at its formidable 60 ring gauge and dense filler it would be fair to assume that this is an extremely intense cigar. However, once lit it may surprise you with its initially subtle flavours. There is a rich sweetness that gradually develops through the first two thirds, with occasion hints of fruitiness. Once into the final third the sweetness and the intensity get turned up to 11, with classic roasted coffee notes coming through. The construction is impeccable and the ash holds well throughout. I find these usually last about 40 mins for me, but I've known people to make them last well over an hour before! Highly recommended, particularly for the price! - Calum, Turmeaus Chester

Cohiba Behike BHK 52 Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Friday 16 May, 2014
The Behike 52 is unquestionably one of my favourite cigars. Its perfect wrapper -finished with a twist for added elegance - and enticing aroma let you know you're in for something special before it's even lit. Once burning, the rare Medio Tiempo leaf makes itself apparent very quickly. The size and location of Medio Tiempo means it is highly concentrated with tobacco oils and natural sugars. The result is a very uniquely tasting cigar: powerful, yet smooth and sweet. I always think "Spice and Caramel" when smoking one. This naturally intensifies as the cigar is smoked, but never becomes too overwhelming. They are classed as full bodied cigars, but the flavours are so perfectly balanced I would never hesitate to recommend these to newbies and aficionados alike! -Calum Turmeaus Chester
