Padron 2000 Robusto Natural Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Wednesday 07 October, 2015
Pre light aroma is a faint coco and barn yard type smell. For this cigar I used a punch cutter and disscovered this isn't the best cutter to use as there is only one cap so make sure you use a guillotine cutter to prevent the cap and wrapper from cracking. After I had removed the tobacco from the cap I took a draw which was excellent with only a touch resistance. First light flavours is a straight aged tobacco core with a hint of pepper on the retro hail the finish Carrys the tobacco taste and slowly develops into a creamy type of note. Second third draw reveals a sweet coco and caramel on the draw with a slight pepper. The finish is still a creamy aged tobacco Final third the coco has faded off with the caramel and cream on the draw the cream Carrys over to the finish along with age tobacco finished off with a slight liquorice. Overall I love this stick full of rich desert like flavours the body is medium ash holding 2inch at a time with no burn problems.

Romeo y Julieta Exhibition No. 4 Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Tuesday 06 October, 2015
Purchased two of these one for a friend and one for myself as we both enjoy the romeo no2s. Took it on holiday with me and saved it till the last evening as a holiday treat. I had smoked a inka secret blend rojo red tres petit corona a few evenings before and was surprised by how tasty it was, especially as it was a cheap smoke. The same can not be said for this. It was not a bad smoke but by no means a good smoke. The best i can say is that it past 45 mins or so inoffensivley but for me it was quite bland and lacked any real flavour.

Oliva Serie G Maduro Belicoso Cigar - 1 Single

Superb cigar! Lit well, nice draw, plenty of rich grey smoke and a beautifully packed whitish, grey ash. It has a nice rich flavour but not too overpowering. I'm having it with a glass of neat Makers Mark and they are complimenting each other well. I bought this to go with a varied selection of holiday cigars and now I'm regretting only buying the one. I'm halfway through and still the ash is sitting in one piece from lighting - not bad considering I'm sitting outside with a fair breeze blowing. Oliva has always made fine alternatives to my favoured Cubans but in my option they are surpassing themselves these days. Oooops! Took my eye of the ball and now have a lap full of ash - no matter, it was worth it. Excellent smoke at an excellent price.

Perfect draw, burn and construction. Lasted a full 45 minutes. Wonderful flavours all the way down. Slight nicotine "hit," at the end but that was probably my fault for smoking it almost until it burnt my fingers. Didn't want to put this one down.

Oliva Orchant Seleccion Chubby Cigar - 1 Single

I really enjoyed this cigar, despite it being a bit one dimensional. Leathery was the main taste I got. Very smooth. It's a shame that it is priced in the same territory as Cuban petit coronas and marevas which are way ahead. Drop the price a few quid and it might be worth keeping a few in the humidor

Has Mild to medium flavour and the draw is perfect throughout the stick and delivers a nice coat of smoke on the palette. flavour wise first third is a a straight tabbacco and pepper which gradually faded into a creamy leather note, there's also a slight grass note which underlings the finish which reminds me a lot like the cohiba grassy ness you tend to get from the Siglo line. Second third still taking the tobacco core pepper has dropped off and has been replaced with the grassy note which had previously been apparent on the finish in the first third now however finish is also stuck with the main characteristics with that creamy leather however there's been and introduction to a slight coffee and coco note which mixes with the cream to deliver a mocha note the only other thing to note is slight strength increase from first light. In the final third the draw flavours are still the same the only change is the coco has faded off the finish and a salty liquorice has been replaced other than the the finish flavours are the same, also strength has had another increase. Good burn as
