Montecristo No. 2 Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Tuesday 28 March, 2017
Not sure if it's the change to BST. But something's keeping me awake. The unwritten rule I have is "if awake for an hour might as well get up". In this case also means might as well have a smoke. A lot in the humidor at the moment and I have a few options, but standing out is the lone Monte #2. It's been there a while but for some reason has remained unmolested. Shortly after relighting I am reminded why I always claim this is my favourite cigar. Lighting is easy and then it just become like the king wenceslass Carol. "clean and crisp and even" Smokes like a non fussed trooper to half way when it takes on a slightly perfumed note to the last third at which point it takes on the trade mark full Monte flavour and really starts to sing. Make no mistake this is a king of all cigars. To put it in context, there are ten cohiba esplendidos in the humidor at the moment and this is better than any of them.

Romeo y Julieta Petit Julietas Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Tuesday 28 March, 2017
I love this little cigar, very well built and a perfect draw. I was not expecting the flavour to be so complex on this one but I was greeted with a delicious sweetness with notes of dark chocolate and coffee that progressed to a well rounded sweet spiciness with hints of in the last half, a very rich yet smooth and palatable smoke. Perfect as a daily smoke with a mid day coffee.

Jose L Piedra Conservas Cigar - Pack of 5
Date Added: Saturday 25 March, 2017
I have smoked 5 and found that 4 drew well and smoked evenly. No need for a powerful suck as they smoke fairly well. Flavour is average. My smoking environment is a large warm wooden chalet. After smoke aroma in chalet is less appealing than with Romeo's etc.

Davidoff Winston Churchill Raconteur Petit Panatela Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Saturday 25 March, 2017
This is my first Davidoff cigar and what an impressive little smoke it was too. Certainly picked up the earthy taste at the start with slight notes of liquorice then it settled into a smooth and pleasing floral character. Towards the end the strength ramped up and more of a leather taste came through and smoked it down to the nub. Perfect construction with no burn issues and the ash dropped off in three solid chunks. I am impressed!

Trinidad Reyes Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Friday 24 March, 2017
I smoked one of these last saturday having let it rest in my humidor for a month or so. I last had one some years ago and enjoyed it then and certainly enjoyed this one. Absolutely perfect quality construction, a really aesthetically pleasing stick. Right from being lit you are rewarded with such sweet creamy tasting smoke with that Cuban slightly citrusy spice type taste in the background. As you progress the flavour turns slightly nutty and becomes more leather-like towards the end. No burn issues at all and lasted a good 45 minutes plus! I smoked it down to the nub until my fingers started to burn and I still didn't want to chuck it away. World class cigar for it's (and any other to be honest) size!

Villiger Export Pressed Maduro Cigar - Pack of 5 (5 cigars)
Date Added: Friday 24 March, 2017
I picked up a pack of these from Asda a couple of weeks back. For the money they provide a decent little smoke, providing hints of wood, tobacco and a touch of coacoa and coffee. They burn nicely although do start to get pretty harsh in the last half. Tons of smoke output!
