Padron 2000 Robusto Maduro Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Friday 07 April, 2017
A very dark wrapper indeed which a rich coacoa aroma with a touch of hay. As it has a single cap I decided to use a punch to cut it. Before lighting I took a draw and was worried because there was no resitance at all and upon lighting this was also the case, it felt like a complete wind tunnel... BUT after letting it settle and taking it slowly it got better and better. Initially the burn was a bit wonky but quickly evened out and became almost razor sharp. Rich taste of earth and coffee with some pepper on the pallette to begin with, as it burns down the pepper goes and it becomes creamier and more of a milk chocolate taste. The ash holds on for well over half the cigar not wanting to drop. Over all a very nice smoke and I would be happy to buy again!

Montecristo Petit No. 2 Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Friday 07 April, 2017
The cigar looked flawless, smelt amazing and had been stored perfectly. From first light it was nothing short of BRILLIANT. The first 1/3 was fantastic! Not very spicy, more Monty number 2 esc, cream and buttery. After the first third, either the cigar dulled, or I got used to it. The stick turned slightly blander and less exciting in its flavours, but as I say, this could have been me settling into it and taking the No.2 for granted after the initial influx of perfection. The draw was perfect throughout, and the burn: Faultlessly even. Could I buy a box of these? I'd probably have to try a second to be sure, but first I want to directly compare the Regatta this weekend. A Cigar I have smoked many times before, so I expect a close competition. I am not the number 2's biggest fan, as it can be overwhelmingly buttery to the pallet. But as usual, there is a time and a place for a multitude of different smokes. My date last night with the petit was pretty dam good! Scott

Joya de Nicaragua Black Nocturno Cigar - 1 Single

Nice cigar, lots of great sweet dark flavours seems to get sweeter as you burn down it. I had a few burn issues due to some quite large stems in the wrapper, but nothing major.

Villiger Rio 6 Cigar - Pack of 5
Date Added: Tuesday 04 April, 2017
Got a pack of these as a cheaper alternative for everyday smoking, they are okay and pretty much what I expected. 10 -15 mins worth of not unpleasant but not special smoke. For the price they fit the bill. They do get a little harsh towards the end and I did seem to be getting a lot a tobacco bits in my mouth.

Inka Secret Blend Red Half Corona Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Monday 03 April, 2017
Unfortunately I really struggled to keep an even burn on this cigar, it seemed to have a few construction issues as there were little hollow sections in the cigar which were confirmed by holes in the ash. It did go out a few times too and needed to be nursed to burn correctly. The flavour was amazing during the periods when the burn was good but unfortunately I couldn't really enjoy it. I am sure this is just a one off and I look forward to trying other cigars in the Inka range.

Jose L Piedra Petit Cazadores Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Monday 03 April, 2017
On the one hand the construction of this cigar was near perfect and had a perfect burn all the way to the last inch, on the other I found the taste a little bland with not much going on aside from bitterness, grass, wood and some pepper at certain stages of the smoke. Not bad by any means if you enjoy the more grassy and earthy tastes. This would benefit from some ageing. For what it is and for the price I will give this 4/5, it personally wasn't to my taste but to someone else's palate this may be the perfect short smoke.
