Quorum Classic Corona Cigar - 1 Single

Lovely cigar! Typical Nicaraguan flavour but very rich and complex. Lots of sweet wood and leather but also good nutty and spicy overtones. Burn was a tad hit and miss and the ash a little flaky. The aroma was very sweet and peaty and the construction quite good. Great quality and certainly buying again.

Joya de Nicaragua Black Double Robusto Cigar - Box of 20
Date Added: Tuesday 05 December, 2017
Have to say that I've not enjoyed this cigar. Out of 10 that I've smoked I've only really enjoyed 1 or 2. Minimal smoke output of most, had to pull a lot. Burns even and nice flavours....when it works. Tried when I first bought and after several months in my humidor and still feels like too much work to be relaxing and enjoyable. Shame really but there are better smokes for the money

Drew Estate Acid Atom Maduro Cigar - 1 Single (Discontinued)
Date Added: Tuesday 05 December, 2017
A flavoursome bomb of a smoke! Intense sweetness on the lips, creamy chocolatey flavours from the dark wrapper. Plenty of smoke. A strange pinched, almost unfinished end, I was almost tempted to cut both ends before lighting! Smoked until the nub burned my fingers.... If you enjoy your sticks bitter and woody, avoid the Acid Atom!

Por Larranaga Picadores Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Tuesday 05 December, 2017
These cigars have really improved with a little age, becoming more complex and balanced. Opening on the mild side for a Havana, the first third was predominantly lovely soft woody flavours with a slight pepper through the nose and a little cream building up, rather like a good El Rey del Mundo. Into the second third the flavours really opened up displaying some of that Por Larrañaga caramel sweetness and hints of citrus fruit, becoming more creamy and certainly a solid medium body. The final third still retained all those flavours but had a little more gentle exotic spice and strength, though started becoming hot by the last inch, which should soften out with a bit more age and there still seems to be a fair bit of room for the subtleties to come out more in a few years. The appearance and construction were excellent with a razor straight burn, wonderful easy draw with just a gentle resistance and a solid ash that held on for an inch or so at a time.
