La Invicta Honduran Churchill Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Wednesday 28 June, 2017
I tried one of these not expecting much for a £9.49 cigar of its size. I didn't get much either. The wrapper was a bit flakey at one end but not enough to ruin anything. It drew well and the ash stacked up very well. Initially it was peppery with a floral, almost herbal edge which soon gave way to a woody leathery taste which got stronger towards the end. It lasted me just under an hour and a half. Overall, it was kinda mild. Not a bad smoke for the price but I won't get another. I'd rather pay an extra quid or two and get a smaller, better quality cigar. While this wasn't an unpleasant smoke, it wasn't a particularly good one either, so I'm giving it 3/5. Try one if you like big cigars at low prices but if flavour is your thing, I wouldn't bother with this one. YMMV!

Juliany Maduro Corona Cigar - 1 Single

What a fantastic cigar - especially for such a low price tag! Upon cutting it and testing the airflow I thought it may be heavy on the draw but that has not been the case when lit. Thick satisfying smoke and a rich strong flavour. It's quite reminiscent of the La Flor Dominicana in flavour and a very steady burn. So far I am 40 minutes in with a cup of tea and it's been a real pleasure. Great service as well - I will return to this one again.

The tobacco is very nice and I was going to order some more tins but since May 2017 it has gone up by nearly £7 !!! So will give it a miss as it's not nice.

H. Upmann Half Corona Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Friday 23 June, 2017
I love these little cigars!....there are better cigars out there but for a half corona that costs 8 quid, they are really very good! It was the comments mentioning "creamy, smooth leather & hints of coffee and/or chocolate" that first made me prick up my ears and subsequently had this old dog wagging it's tail! Lovely relaxing, trouble free smoke that's sure to last most a good 30-40 minutes depending on individual cadence. Do yourself a favour and pull the trigger on 2 or 3, chuck them in the humidor for a few weeks to settle and break one out at a suitable time of your choosing.

Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure Especial Cigar - 1 Single

I bought one of these for a lunchtime smoke. It had been recommended to me by a friend who assured me I'd get through it in about 30-45 minutes. It took me just over 40 minutes to get down to the last inch, If I'd smoked a little more slowly, I think I'd have got nearly an hour out of it. I can honestly say that this really was creamy and went perfectly with an extra strong cappuccino. It got creamier in the 2nd third and then became a bit more sharp in the last third. In my opinion, they go great with a nice cup of coffee. I smoked it outside in a park and the ash held until it was about 1 1/2 inches. I'm definitely getting more of these.
