Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 2 Cigar - 1 Single

Truly an amazing cigar! Without a shed of doubt in the top 5 robustos in the world, due to its consistency alone. I’ve smoked hundreds of these so take it from me it’s a classic. Great flavours of cream, milk chocolate with a some sweet apple and just a hint of cinnamon. It really is a tasty stick. The burn has been even in the majority I’ve had. Great with coffee and great with a single malt also. It’s that versatile. Flavour tends to die out in some cases in the final third but it isn’t unpleasant as you tend to get that sort of nice Cuban tobacco taste. But as a whole it’s a great smoke.

I purchased this cigar before reading the other reviews and I was worried I had bought a bad one. However I actually really enjoyed it. I found that it smoked extremely well and was light and mild. I would smoke again and I think for the price it was a really good buy.

A little gem of a smoke. Excellent even burn with a good solid strong ash that stayed and didn’t fall off until broken. Great tasting. More than matches my usual Montecristo.

Was really enjoying this one, until the final third! The first third is mellow, with a light to medium flavour, which strengthens as it burns into the second third. It’s spicy and oaky, with hints of creaminess, but then it all goes to pot! It had trouble staying lit and burned unevenly in the final third. The taste went south too, with a huge hit within half an inch of the wrapper. I don’t know if I will try another one, as I got this out of a sampler...
