Trinidad Reyes Cigar - 1 Single

Smoked one of these last week, and must say I think I found my new favourite afternoon/lunchtime smoke. It went down a treat with some strong Italian coffee, sitting on the patio basking in the very warm sun. It was beautifully rounded little cigar with definite coffee and mild sweetness to the flavour. I will most certainly be ordering more.

I was introduced to these a year ago on a trip to Amsterdam, I was after a full bodied cigar, roughly half an hour smoke and not going to knock you sideways with a nicotine hit. Pretty much fits the bill; the full body it is smooth with a good rich creamy characteristic. Don't know much about nutmegs and vanilla and all the other descriptions, just full body smooth smoke. The smoke gets better all the way down becoming more and more complex in flavours which to me is a typical characteristics of a good Cuban cigar.
They are a bit tight on the draw but burn beautifully giving a good tight grey ash which is evenly burnt all the way. I only needed to re light towards the end and that was because I was being greedy, this was not going to waste.
All cigars are consistent, there are not better or worse cigars in the pack so quality control is top notch.
I prefer these out of the humidor at around 77% humidity, they will age nicely but with me no chance they are not going to last.

Trinidad Coloniales Cigar - Cabinet of 24

I had bought a box of these for my colleagues to introduce them to the taste of proper tobacco. While I certainly do not count as a connosieur, or even an informed cigar afficionado, I can definitely say that this is a great smoke to introduce your fellows to cigar smoking. The taste is lighter than Cohibas, and the smoke lasts a convenient, medium time, 30-45 minutes - just enough for a good conversation starter. If you prefer lighter, mellower tasting cigars I wholeheartedly recommend the Coloniales. (For context, dear fellow addict, my other preferred ones are the Behike 56, the Montechristo No.2, the now gone Trinidad Robusto, and lately the Romeo & Julieta Piramides Anehados.)

Everyone's taste is different, I love these cigars and would recommend them to anyone but below is a quick summary so you can see it this is for you._/br_

_li_Very firm draw_/li_
_li_burns evenly as long as you keep on top of it_/li_
_li_Smooth and mellow flavours to start with a more spicy final third_/li_
_li_The last third does indeed open up and smoke a lot more which is nice_/li_
_li_Reasonable price_/li_
_li_Comparable to Punch Coronations so if you like those, these are a good treat_/li_
