Ramon Allones Specially Selected Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Thursday 10 September, 2020
When it comes down to it, it’s the skill of the roller that really counts. The cigars in factory are graded for hue and shade and presented to the sorter. We all want consistency of colour when we buy a box of 25 or 50, do we not ? Problem is, not all rollers have adequate training and some are somewhat lacking in skill. So, the consumer, that’s you, ends up with an inferior product. Having smoked many cigars over the recent months, I can conclude that a lot, and I mean a lot of cigars coming out of Cuba at the moment are inferior products. Poor construction often means a poor or inadequate draw. You might as well throw your money in a bin. Draw, to me, is everything. The culprits, at the moment seem to me to be Partagas, Montecristo and dare I say it, Cohiba. I have recently been wading through my stash of Ramon Allones specially selected and have found that the consistency and construction to be flawless. If you want a cigar that gives bang for buck, buy these. Don’t waste your money on the overpriced and overrated alternatives. Just finished one. Draw.....9 Construction

I got this to see what the regius smokes were like as they seemed like great value but I would rather spend more on quality and smoke less than buy king Edwards! I often see posts about smoke time saying they got 30 mins on a cigar that I get an hour on and then complain about the taste being bland etc. This cigar, like most cigars, rewards patience. If you are taking a hearty full draw and don’t leave time for the cherry to cool down, the difference is like night and day. Now I know the majority of people reading this will say ‘well, duh!’, but the reason I mention it is the smoke times on this site given by cgars is often way too low. Davidoff do it too on their materials, so on the off chance you are here to say this was disappointing, buy another and smoke it slowly. It should last an hour or more, that is when the flavours come out. If you rush it, the bitter tastes cloud the great subtle flavours. For the price, this is a phenomenal cigar. Only the fuente stick of the same size compares and that one is £2 more. This is the price of a crappy petrol station henri winterman and

Ramon Allones Small Club Corona Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Sunday 06 September, 2020
This was a bit disappointing after reading the great reviews and knowing how respected the brand is. The burn was uneven and the draw inconsistent, needed re-lighting a few times. I did get some varying flavours, hints of sweetness, reminded me of the Jose L Piedra, but by the final third I had given up. My cigar box has been at 69% so quite high if that has anything to do with it, I might lower the humidity. Worth noting anyway. If youre looking for a budget Cuban Id suggest saving some pocket change and going for the Jose Brevas.

CGars Cuban of the month and another big win for the company! As winter comes in one may choose to go for shorter Stogies and this was fantastic. I drew on this little angel in a frantic fashion as it tasted so damm good. Nice kick but smooth; pretty creamy for a Cuban with a nice hit of wood pepper. Got give CGars points also for great quality control on stogies IÂ’ve ordered. Excellent service.

Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchill Cigar - Box of 25
Date Added: Monday 10 August, 2020
I must admit, I bought my Wide Churchills whilst in Ypres, Belgium (£12 for a single stick!) six months ago and they have been sat in my humidor ever since, until last night. It was a fantastic smoke from start to finish - Im not usually a fan of the final third of cigars, but I smoked this down to my finger and thumb. It took me approx 75 mins to get through. Id say it was a smooth and mellow smoke (Ive said in other reviews I cant pick out individual flavours), with the draw improving half way through the first third. I did have a slight problem with uneven burn on two occasions, but I didnt care - this smoke was worth the wait and I cant wait to fire up another.
