Room 101 Farce Maduro Corona Papi Chulo Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Wednesday 03 September, 2025
Room 101 Farce was definitely one of the more unique smokes I’ve had as a beginner. It’s marketed as a complex, medium-to-full-bodied blend, and that complexity really came through. On the first few puffs, I got this interesting mix of earth, pepper, and a subtle sweetness, almost like dried fruit. The flavors shifted quite a bit as it went along, which kept me on my toes. At times, there was cocoa and espresso; other times, more wood and spice. The construction was solid, though I did need one touch-up on the burn. The draw was easy, and the smoke output was thick and satisfying. I can see why people say this cigar has layers—it felt like it kept evolving, which was exciting but also a little challenging for someone new like me. It’s definitely not a one-note cigar, and I think that makes it worth trying if you want to push your palate. The strength built toward the end, with more pepper and richness, but it never got overwhelming. Overall, I enjoyed it, though I’d say it’s better suited for when you’re in the mood to pay attention. Rating: 7/10

Romeo y Julieta No. 2 Tubed Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Wednesday 03 September, 2025
The Romeo y Julieta No. 2 was one of the first Cuban cigars I really sat down and paid attention to, and I can see why it’s considered a classic. From the first puff, it had this elegance that made me slow down and appreciate what was happening. The flavors are smooth and refined—wood, leather, and a touch of spice, but nothing harsh. There’s also a creamy sweetness that reminded me of almonds or marzipan, which played beautifully with the cedar notes. The construction was flawless: even burn, steady draw, and that lovely white Cuban ash that you hear people talk about. It felt like it was teaching me what a well-made cigar should be. As it developed, I picked up some floral undertones and a little bit of nuttiness, which made each puff feel slightly different. I smoked this slowly, and it rewarded me with over an hour of satisfaction without ever becoming bitter. Honestly, as someone exploring cigars seriously for the first time, this felt like a big step up in quality and enjoyment. It gave me a real appreciation for why Cuban cigars are so highly regarded. Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 Broadleaf Cigar - Tin of 5
Date Added: Wednesday 03 September, 2025
The Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 Broadleaf has quickly become one of my favourites for a shorter smoke. It lasts me about 25-30 minutes, and every time I light one up it feels like I’ve carved out half an hour of pure peace from the world. The flavour is rich and smooth, with that trademark broadleaf sweetness and depth that makes it stand out from a lot of other cigars in this size. I use a V-cut, and it works perfectly, giving me an easy draw the whole way through. I’ve found that a bit of dry boxing (about 8 hours outside the humidor) really brings out the flavours and keeps the burn cooler. Straight out of my 69% humidor, it tended to run a little hot and even burnt my lips once, so the dry boxing makes a huge difference for me personally. For me, this cigar isn’t just a smoke, it’s a proper little ritual. When I’m standing there with it, the half-hour just feels like heaven. If you’re after a short smoke that still feels like something special, this one’s tough to beat. And a great price too.

A lovely cigar, and one of my favorites, smooth and fully of flavor, and not over powering. However a very tight draw, which tends to reduce the enjoyment

Rocky Patel Nording Robusto Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Wednesday 20 August, 2025
I found this a nice mild to medium smoke. Quite peppery on initial lighting but it soon settled into cedar with a little spice. The draw was quite open via the V-cut and the cap split very slightly on cutting, but never moved after that. It produced plenty of smoke and held a good 3cm of ash. The burn was even and consistently flawless requiring no touch-ups or relighting. The wrapper lifter slightly on removing the band, but nothing that affected the smoking. I'll restock this to keep a couple in the humidor.

Rafael Gonzalez Coronas de Lonsdales Cigar - 1 Single

Felt another review was worthy as the one I have just smoked with a punch cut was delicious. Almost bready, light to medium smoke (prob due to punch cut). Fantastic construction and burn spot on
