Oliva Serie G Maduro Churchill Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Monday 15 July, 2019
1.5 hours of pure smoking pleasure. Smoke was a little on the weak side near the start but got stronger as it smoked through. The flavour was above medium. It got hot about 1 inch from the end and I stopped about 1/2 inches before the end. Definitely try this cigar of you havent before. And make sure to leave it in the humidor a while

Wonderful just wonderful. Had mine as a morning smoke with a coffee, a little hot & spicy for the first inch then smoothed out to woodiness with mild leather notes & some nutty flavors coming into play also. I was pleasantly surprised & I will be buying more to put into the rotation. A happy contented morning was had with this stick before getting on with the days work, what more do you want.

My first foray into the Oliva brand will not be the last. The Serie G introduces itself with rich coffee and chocolate flavours, a creamy and luxurious smoke which left sweet toasted-almonds on the finish. I couldnt help but smile after every draw. The chocolate moves aside in the second third giving way to a full bodied leather and darker roast coffee profile, earth and oak, there were some tangs of pepper but so mild I would discount them. The cigar finishes by toning down the leather and bringing back some of that earlier sweetness, this time in the form of the earth and wood flavours, a good ending to a great smoke. Perfect burn and build. My only regret is that I only bought one.

Now this was an interesting and different smoke. The taste is dark, a little more acidic to my palate, and almost savoury-tasting. I agree with the general description that there are hints of leather, also dark bitter chocolate and slight peppery notes. Similar to a coffee-infused Tabac Especiale I tried from Nicaragua. If you’re interested in branching out from just Cuban cigars and you want a good strength and shortish smoke, give these a try.

There are some really distinctive flavours in this. First cigar I’ve got chocolate from and it has a taste extremely similar to strongbow blackcurrent. I guess it’s a little bit like a chocolate bar with raisins in or something similar (dark dried fruit) . It also has a real dark wood flavour to it. For me personally it was a little too on the strong side however I could still apreaciate the flavours .

Beautiful from start to finish. Im not an everyday smoker, maybe one a week two if im being naughty, so its always good to have a smoke that is good from start to finish. The beauty had a lovely even burn throughout, produced a lovely amount of smoke without being too much, the flavours were subtle and enjoyable. I enjoyed it with a nice coffee, but would pair nicely with a good whiskey of your choice. Maybe a Bowmore No. 1, or Jura Seven barrels. Lastest around 45 minutes with a leisurely drag, long enough for my wife to come looking for me in the shed My only complaints are it had to end and I only bought the one.
