Montecristo Open J Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Tuesday 05 June, 2018
My first of the open series. I bought 5 because my local shop was out of Upmanns half coronas which are my usual walking cigars. Quick burning with a loose draw but not unpleasant. Obviously designed as a quick smoke with reasonable construction and a light version of the classic montecristo taste. Another reviewer said they got 40-50 mins out of it and honestly I dont know how thats possible. It was 20 mins for me keeping the Ash nice and flat. Good for short walks but honestly the price is too high. It may be Cuban but its not a good example. Look to the Trinidad Reyes or the upmann half corona in the same price bracket.

Montecristo Especial No. 2 Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Monday 28 May, 2018
I would like to start by saying that this is an exceptionally good cigar. I ordered it it multiple times in the past and loved it each time. The reason for bad review is that the one I ordered recently was awful. Not sure if it was just one off or there was a bad batch or some storage issues. The cigar was badly made, there was a thick lump of harden tobacco inside it and it barely smoked. In the end i had to cut it and remove 2/3 to be able to smoke what was left. Wondering if anybody else had such an experience with this cigar.

Montecristo No. 4 Cigar - 1 Single

In the past Ive had some great MC4s. The past few Ive bought from this site have had a very tight draw. If youre reading this in a few months ignore me but I think the batch currently on sale isnt right.

Montecristo Club Cigarillos - Pack of 10
Date Added: Friday 11 May, 2018
I suppose I tend to compare everything with Cohiba, but I didnt take to these, in fact I didnt get through half the packet. Theres an underlying promise of Havana but quickly swamped under a harsh sharpness. To be fair theyre cheaper than Cohiba, but not cheap enough for the difference. Taking into consideration that I might be biased, Im giving them three, but my inclination is more toward two.

Montecristo No. 2 Cigar - 1 Single

This is my desert island cigar. If I had a constant supply of these, a fathomless wine cellar, an equally endless supply of good books and a comfy chair parked on a white sand beach I would spend whatever years were to be given to me reclining in joyous repose and staring wistfully into an infinite middle distance

Montecristo Edmundo Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Sunday 06 May, 2018
A delightful cigar, consistent from the first to the last lamented draw. Cedar, leather and pepper, along with a cool sweetness that is totally wonderful on the palate. When In search of the mythical never ending cigar, you’d want it to be like this, never harsh and always communicating it’s provdence from every easy pull. So much so that despite being an infrequent cigar smoker, today I felt the need to smoke another cigar later in the day. Sadly it wasn’t an Edmundo, but a giant slayer in the guise of a Jose Piedra, whilst not as sublime as the Monte, scratched the itch that it had left me with. I’d give the Edmundo a 4.5, it’s not a No2 but it is an undeniably good smoke and one that should be a go to on a warm summers day when relaxation with no hassle is what is required. Some have said that the burn is a little uneaven, yes maybe slightly, but never did it canoe or become something that dominated the smoke. I know that I often say this, but I’d urge you to try this wonderful cigar should you get the chance.
