La Invicta Nicaraguan Robusto Tubed Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Sunday 19 March, 2017
I've only had a couple of these since I got back into cigar smoking a couple of months ago. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised with them. Easy draw on them, lovely taste and a satisfying amount of smoke to blow out. Not too hot either. I've found the wrapper to be quite well constructed on both the cigars I've smoked, so I don't know if the reviewers were just unlucky, or I was lucky. I would definitely have these again. Not the best cigar I've had, but still a nice, relaxing smoke.

La Invicta Honduran Maduro Cigar - 1 Single

I'm still fairly new to the cigar world but I fell on my feet with this stick. I have always been a fan of tobacco that gives you something to think about and this certainly keeps you interested. There is a beautifully spicy taste to this cigar, and a pretty even burn. I found that you need to take your time with it or the cigar will bite back with a strong hit if you try to do a Thomas the tank engine impression but if enjoyed with a decent coffee or dark ale it gives a lovely flavour with no bitterness. Only draw back is the caps can be a little bit delicate on the occasional one but a clean cut will solve this. I bought one as a bit of selection and within the first third had already ordered another 5 as a after work smoke. For the price and the taste it can't be knocked at all!

La Invicta Nicaraguan Panetela Cigar - 1 Single

Test drove a couple of these over the festive period. First off take care when cutting the cap as it is small and seems fragile to me. The first one tore. Leaving that on one side I found this cigar to be quite enjoyable. Pleasing bouquet and flavour. Not quite as nice as budget Cuban cigars but enjoyable all the same. Taking price in to account and the fact that they are hand rolled you should give them a try. My only concern is build quality which seems variable.

LCDH H. Upmann Royal Robustos Cigar - 1 Single

I first smoked this cigar at the Cuban festival some 5 years ago and brought back some boxes with me.While in Cuba I met David Savona (Cigar aficionado) who asked my opinion of it and I told him 'first class' He smiled and said he would check it out. It rated a 94 in later editions ! (No, he did not hire me !!)I am surprised that these are still around so pick some up at a very reasonable rate from C.Gars. Limited editions like this sometimes slip under the radar so don't miss out !!

La Aurora Principe Chicos Red Cigars - Pack of 5
Date Added: Tuesday 24 January, 2017
This was the first ever 'flavoured' cigar that I had ever tried. The packet, wrappers and the cigar itself smelled like a very lovely cherry and there was a pleasing cherry flavour on the mouthpart of the cigar. The flavour was not really reminiscent of cherry, I'm not sure to what extent a flavoured cigar should taste like it's flavouring - but there was certainly little to no of the cherry smell from the wrapper in the smoke of any of the cigars. Did I get a dud pack or is this normal? I've no idea; But, the cigar itself was quite nice and very well constructed. It'd be great if C.Gars LTD got the La Aurora Principe's, the regular size, rather than the chicos - however!

La Invicta Nicaraguan Petit Corona Tubed Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Saturday 21 January, 2017
This was a beautiful cigar. Sweet and rich with a little spice at the back which keeps you just going back for more whilst being truly fulfilling. Slightly tight draw which I found pleasant. Cut well, burnt well and lasted me about an hour. Absolutely buying these again!
