Joya de Nicaragua Cinco De Cinco Toro Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Saturday 18 January, 2025
I love cigars with a Mexican San Andres wrapper, especially combined with Nicaraguan binder and fillers. This cigar had a good taste from light up and I enjoyed the typical flavour notes you would expect from this blend of tobaccos. Unfortunately the construction let this cigar massively. I'm not sure if this is typical of this brand or if I was unlucky. The draw was slightly tight and the burn line was terrible. I had to correct the burn after every few draws. It was also trying to go out if I didn't smoke on it every 15 - 20 secs. I had to relight it fully again at one point. It is a pitty because it definitely had nice flavours but I give up before I reached the band. I will stick to the EP CARILLO La Historia from now on, it has the same tobacco combinations but slightly more prominent flavours and a perfect construction.

J. Cortes High Class Dominican Cigar - White - 1 Single

Wood, Earth and black tea are the flavours that stood out for me. 45 minutes smoke time all the way to the nub with no issues like others have reported. To my taste buds this white tubes are one is the best of the three and could be smoked by new people to cigars as it only has a light touch of spice. For the price point these are well worth to grab a few for a mid week smoke.

J. Cortes High Class Honduran Cigar - Orange - 1 Single

For the price you can't really go wrong on this cigar. I have smoked cigars triple or more in price and not as good. Earth, wood and black tea with a touch of spice I got from this cigar. For me it was an enjoyable 45 minute smoke as it comes pre cut so no faffing around with a straight burn line and no touch ups needed.

Well made cigar comes pre-cut and through out the cigar I had no issues. Flavours I got was Cedar, Earth, Leather and a touch of spice. It was a decent 45 minute smoke to the nub where, but it became a bit spongy. For the price its worth a try.

Leather, Wood, Spice and dark chocolate is what I got from this smoke. Well built and a decent burn line only needed touching up once. it was an hour smoke time for me and just a little extra spice towards the nub which is normal.

Wood, Leather, Espresso and a touch of spice is what I got from this smoke with good amount of smoke too. Very well constructed cigar with no need for touch-ups or re lights and a straight burn line what more can you ask for. It was an enjoyable 85 minutes of pleasurable smoking.
