Inka Secret Blend Red Half Corona Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Sunday 09 December, 2018
Had one of these from the December Delights sampler and I thought Id write a few quick words of my experience. Unfortunately the cap was poorly attached and I had slight unwrapping issues, despite my careful cut, however this did not affect the smoke until the last 1/6th or so. From lighting the draw was smooth and consistent for the most part, and a somewhat fast burn. There was a distinctly peppery body from the get go, with earthy and leathery notes also coming through throughout the entire smoke. At points I noticed an almost red wine-like flavour, coming through mostly when the cigar burned hotter. Coming down to the final quarter of the cigar the draw became slightly tighter and there was a subtle flavour change from that, bringing out more of the leathery and red wine notes. And in the final 1/6th it was a struggle to keep an even burn in conjunction with keeping the cigar from unwrapping, however it didnt pain me too much to just chuck it when the going got tough. I enjoy smoking a cigar down as far as it will go in general and usually squeeze a bit more out than I did with

Very nice, flavoursome cigar. Let down by being way too tight. Couldnt get a decent draw till at least halfway down. A shame as it tasted excellent,

Very good cigar, inkas are my regular Friday night pub smoke good for taking the stress of the working week away. Alway a good draw and build occasionally an odd burn but that is a minor issue of a good all round cigar nice flavours easy smoke. Definitely a good cigar for someone new to cigar smoking. They go very well with a glass of 12 year old Highland Park whisky.

A great cigar for the price and reminiscent of Cuban Partagás (not the depth or creaminess of a good Partagás) - rich, earthy and woody with a lot of pepper and a sweet leathery undertone. There was a tiny amount of development in flavour, getting darker into the second half and I found smoking it slowly with a little whisky was best. I did find the pepper to be rather overpowering, and there was a slight acrid bitterness throughout which mainly picked up in the second half. Some slight hints of peanut developed and a little green vegetal note built up. The finish wasnt great, a little bitter but otherwise pleasant. I found mine to be very much full strength. I am very curious as to how well these might age over a few years as some of the rough edges should ease off at the very least. Construction was excellent with a beautiful straight burn - tightly packed but with a perfect (easy but not too open) draw producing thick mouthfuls of smoke.

Inca Secret Blend Tambo Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Wednesday 07 November, 2018
I usually smoke Cuban cigars, but as Im now semi-retired I have had to review my budget. I was in Chester recently for a day out and lunch with the lads The youngest is 65! I called in to the Alf Turmeus shop and had a look at the New World cigars and settled on a couple of Incas. One being the Tambo. A couple of days later I smoked the Tambo and really enjoyed it. Plenty of smoke, plenty of flavour and I tried a little experiment with it. I dont usually smoke down to about 3/4 of an inch but I did this time to try it out. Consistently good all the way. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I will keep buying these cigars and save myself some money in the bargain.
