H. Upmann Magnum 50 Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Thursday 18 July, 2013
Sitting here in the quiet of a lovely evening I finally took out this cigar from a 3 month stint in my humidor and dedicated some quality time to this great cigar. Not a beast of a double or a Churchill but still a suitable size and gauge for some well spent herfing. At first I was a little surprised by the harshness but settling in it transitioned into a wonderfully mellow smoke, easy draw and plentiful white fragrant smoke. Excellent construction and burn, though the ash dropped after less than an inch little flowering and not a single burn issue. In my opinion will only get better with some age to it. The final third is a pleasure and am reluctant to put it down. Soft, mellow and worth every penny. Would I buy again, you bet, but as a box so I can pop them away for a bit and dream of another day when I can sit back with the sun shining and time to dedicate to it. Thankfully still two more maturing away so will have to wait before I can justify to myself to buy again, what a pity..

Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 2 Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Saturday 29 June, 2013
it probably needs some ageing or something, Im new to ageing cigars, and I haven't had this one that long since i bought it from cgars but, the draw was too airy and hardly any flavour. Draw did pick up in final third though and so did the flavour once i nubbed it. but over all slightly disappointing.

Date Added: Saturday 11 May, 2013
My first review of my first Hoyo Epicure No.1 Great looking cigar with double banding and very good construction minimum veining and very smooth The draw is excellent with tastes of fruit and malt in first and second thirds with spice coming in for the final third Burn was good with a nice aroma and lasted 1 1/2 hours To sum up the Hoyo Epicure No 1 Construction: excellent Draw: excellent Strength: medium throughout Taste: fruity, malt for first and second thirds then with added cool spice for the final third Burn: good Aroma: nice Overall: this is a fabulous cigar which in my opinion is better than the Epicure No.2 and well worth getting these in your humidor Score: I score these 93/100 Like a milder fruitier D4 will definitely be getting more of thes

Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo Du Depute Cigar - 1 Single

Very much like a Rafarl Gonzales Perla, which to my taste is no bad thing. Great coffee time smoke, would recommend for people new to habanas, really mild and creamy with cocoa and vanilla notes.
