Davidoff Winston Churchill Raconteur Petit Panatela Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Saturday 14 April, 2018
Nice Cigar but not for me. First third was very peppery which put me off a bit. Then it turned more mellow which was better. With some leather taste coming through. The burn was good and the draw good. Cant argue with the price for this cigar. Still looking for my favourite cigar.

Had one of these resting in the humidor since October and finally smoked it. Very nice cigar. Rich dark woody flavour with cream and cocoa, black pepper and a little nutmeg spice. Not much in the way of evolution through the cigar, other than a little sour vegetal hint in the last third, and the flavour overall had a touch of dryness about it, but still quite enjoyable. Construction was good with a great, slow burn but the draw was very loose, helping it to burn hot in the last 2 inches, which was a shame.

Davidoff Nicaragua Short Corona Cello Cigar - 1 Single

What a lovely cigar, the flavours developed just as described by cgars and improved as it burnt down. If you keep on top of things and touch up when needed, youll be rewarded with a sublime smoke down to the nub. Seems to me that you cant go wrong with a davidoff, if only the top cuban brands would invest more in much needed quality control.

Davidoff Nicaragua Short Corona Cello Cigar - 1 Single

I tried this cigar a year ago and was quite taken with the quality, the flavour and aroma are wonderful at the price. Tasted a few times since and most recently at this review. Received in perfect condition from CGars and on opening the pouch a lovely fresh cedar aroma. Smooth wrapper and a fine spring to the construction, suggesting a youthful cigar nicely humidified. Lit perfectly and retained an even burn with the ask staying long until half way point where it fell gracefully. Flavours started smooth and creamy, with the pepper as suggested, very pleasant. Continued to smoke well with plumes of smoke and a nice medium palate of earthy / woody notes. A nice warming last third that continued the creamy palate and a touch of biscuit? Enough complexity to keep you happy for a 30 minute smoke. Great value and the Nicaragua range definitely one to try. Many thanks.

Got to say I didnt like this cigar at all, it took an age to toast, and burnt very unevenly. I thought the taste was vey one dimetional, it reminded me of the cheep cigars that you used to get in pubs. Bitter tasting and leaving an acrid smell on my clothes. My wife thought I had been near a camp fire. I found that the draw tightend up towards the end, and was quite happy to finish it early. Its not to my taste but others may like it.

Drew Estate Acid Blondie Cigar - 1 Single

I’m relatively new to cigar smoking having been gifted a humidor at Christmas. The price of this stick was a big motivator while perfecting the maintenance of my humidor and cigars. I eventually tried this stick last week and to cut a long story short, I will be purchasing more of these. It is a small cigar but has a solid construction with a clean draw and superb burn - not the longest smoke (20-25mins), but once lit just sit back and enjoy. The wrapper has a pleasing sweetness which abides throughout. To start the smoke is creamy and light becoming increasingly spicy and peppery with each third. This cigar won’t give you big flavours or big smoke. It will however leave you with a smile of quiet satisfaction, not just because of the mellowness of the experience, but because you know it cost you less the £7.
