I selected this one to enjoy on an afternoon in the late August sun. It was bought to try out the large diameter as I usually smoke narrower cigars. It took 45 minutes as stated and there was zero bitterness for me. The smoke was mild but pleasant and there were no real discernable flavours to it. It did however burn unevenly, persistently on one side. When the ash dropped off I could see an area of filler that was much less dense causing the problem.

Now I must say this is not for my palate as I typically prefer lighter, creamier, more nutty cigars. However I cannot deny this is an impressive premium cigar. I was delighted by this as It was the first maduro I have smoked. It has an excellent draw, slightly uneven burn but this was probably my error. Strong notes of hot pepper, espresso and dark chocolate make for an intense and delicious smoke. This pairs greatly with a fruity rioja red wine or a warm sweet bourbon.

This cigar lasted 1 hour the construction and qaulity is fantastic, Great draw lovely white thick smoke, First 3rd is filled with dark chocolate maybe a hint of caramel, 2nd third You start to taste hints of Pepper and cinnamon with a base of chocolate
this continues and gets stronger in the last 3rd
there was more development and more flavours in the last 3rd but my pallet isn?t experienced enough to say what the flavours are,
This cigar is fantastic and i wish it was for me but the flavours aren?t my thing!
Think this would be suited to a nice cup of coffee. I wish my Preferred cigars possessed some of the amazing qualities that this cigar does! If you are into the flavours above you will love this cigar and for ?10 it?s qaulity and smoke time is Hard to beat!!

Just at the end of a very enjoyable half hour with this cigar. The burn has been even but I've had to relight 6 times which isn't an issue for me. It is windy outside which hasn't helped. A very creamy flavour for me, enjoyed with a very creamy 8 year old whisky... from Lidl, but nice all the same!

I am surprised that no one has reviewed this yet. The 1st 3rd is spice bomb on the retro hale but accompanied by a natural sweetness with tones of leather and coco. 2nd 3rd is very smooth with basically no spice on the retro hale and the leather and coco tones become even more pronounced. The final 3rd is similar but with some coffee tones coming through too. The burn and construction is absolutely perfect. I think this cigar is now one of top 5.

I have tried a few cavalier Geneve black label 2 the torpedo is usually my favourite cigar to smoke but I tried this lancero and it's my favourite cigar of all time. The draw was perfect for me. Nice amount of smoke. Even burn. Nice white ash. Taste is subjective but I really enjoyed this cigar. Might even get a case I was that impressed. I smoked this in under an hour easily and the taste for me changed only a touch in thr last 3rd. Probably last quarter and not in a bad way. Just seemed to be a little more spice. (I won't use the posh references because I can't ever taste what others seem to)
