On my fourth one of these now and to be honest I enjoy them a bit more every time! I'm ordering more and can see these as permanent fixtures in my humidor for those (many) occasions when you don't have time for.... Well, which one for those times ....

Arturo Fuente Hemingway Short Story Cigar - 1 Single

Well after my last few cigars I've felt a bit disappointed, so I chose this cigar out of my humidor on the back of several recommendations in the hope that I would be impressed. A fair amount of people consider this one of thier favorite smokes so I was very much looking forward to it despite the hefty price for such a small cigar. All I can say is I must have had a bad one! First half of the cigar I didn't really get anything other than a very light and smooth smoke that didn't really taste of anything at all. The finish was quite an unpleasant dusty bitter taste. Second half got a little better and actually had some nice nutty tones and smooth tobacco flavour but still didn't really impress me very much at all. At £9.99 I feel a little ripped off and have been put off the fuente brand. Maybe just my palate but still feeling quite disappointed.

Started off a little peppery, then settled to a smooth spice flavour but without the bite. Smooth creamy tobacco with hint of sweetness and sweet cedar. Reminded me of a invicta maduro. Not sure I'd buy another but I did enjoy it. Lasted about an hour

Disappointed to say the least! It took so much nursing keep it burning evenly, I even cut it half to give it another chance but gave up and had a Regius instead! No spiciness for me just hints of frustration with a strong undertone of annoyance!

Really nice cigar. Smooth, with bitter chocolate notes and peppered coffee foam (ha, does that make any sense?!). Got a bit harsh to the end so I had to slow down. Burns well but had to re-light once. A slow burner for sure. Definitely will buy again and am keen on trying the Churchill size.

I enjoyed this cigar recently at my sisters wedding following a recommendation from a twitter user. When you say smoke a cigar, your not kidding: it produced a lot of smoke and lasted quite a while (1. 5 hours and 3 drams of whisky). The cigar itself was creamy throughout and had hints of various spices to keep the interest. However, whilst I enjoyed it, I thought that the flavours in general were lacking. There were some pleasant tastes, however I would have liked them to be a bit more prevalent. Overall a nice smoke that falls short of the mark for my tastes. I would smoke one again if I was offered, but at the price I feel there are better cigars available.
