The expression is the 2017 release of Talisker 25 Year Old, bottled at their 'traditional' strength - 45.8%.

Delicious, appetisingly dry and fully mature - this beautifully orchestrated variation of Talisker has a lingering finish which cannot outstay its welcome.

Where previous version of Talisker 25 Year Old have been released at full strength, this edition is to be bottled from refill casks at Talisker's traditional strength of 45.8% (80 proof).

Nose: Honey and light peat, the honey goes really deep. Some warm wood spices, but less spicy than the 18 year old. Salt soon joins in, with a citrus note developing and with it, hints of vanilla.

Palate: Dominantly sweet honey with almost no peat. Some pepper on the sides of the palate and back of the tongue, salt and light notes of fresh citrus.

Finish: Peat and spice in the back of the throat, gentle, yet long. Some sweetness in mouth, with a lot of residual salt.
