Description

Limited to: 220 hand numbered bottles
Bottled: 2019
Cask Type: Bourbon Barrel

Ardmore is the original peated Highlander; This NAS expression was matured in an ex-bourbon barrel and has been left at cask strength, a whopping 60.5%, making it rather special as the high alcohol volume carries the whisky extremely well.

Only 220 bottles of this single malt were released.

It coats and cleanses the palate whilst the complexities gently dance together.

Caol Ceo on the label can be translated from Gaelic to “Light Smoke” (or a thin mist).

Perfect to be paired with a cigar such as the Alec Bradley Skinny.

This is a fantastic whisky. Tasting notes here are on point. Sweet smokey malt on the nose. Fruity, spicy and lightly smokey on the pallet. Finish is nice and long and just a little peppery. I did happen to get bottle 202 pictured above which I thought was a crazy coincidence but it is so tasty I dont even mind. If you like Ardmore, you cant go wrong here.
