BLACK FRIDAY - Henri Wintermans Tubed Coronas Deluxe Sumatra Cigar - 1 Single by Alex

This cigar is quite interesting. It has a number of benefits - 1. Its dry cured so it doesnt need a humidor, though like any dry cured cigar it tastes a bit better IMO after proper humidification. 2. Its pre-cut so it can be smoked anywhere at any time. 3. Its quite a decent ring gauge and length - just shy of a petit corona. It certainly feels like a real cigar rather than a cigarillo like a half corona from Henri Wintermans. 4. It burns well and lights very easily - never had an issue with it burning in strange ways. 5. It comes in a tube despite being sold for less than a fiver, whereas its Cuban competitor Guantanamera is a good few pounds more for a tubos. The tube means it can be stored and protected anywhere. The main con - It tastes like a Henri Winterman i.e. relatively cheap, Dutch tobacco. I happen to like the flavour so its not a con for me, but if you like the flavour of Cuban or Nicaraguan tobacco and just cant stand the Dutch mix of Brazilian and Indonesian leaf it wont be for you. I got a box of them and I try the 1st one today. Plenty of out put smoke, slow burner , light You enjoy smoking and conversion Brilliant I might get another box bcz they are really good . Love it

A little bitter to my pallette but not a bad, draw or burn for the price. Would have earnt a five if they were a little tastier and sweeter.

Bolivar Petit Coronas Cigar - 1 Single by Chris

These have got to be the best Petit Coronas Ive tried. Cant fault them. Plenty of flavour without being overpowering. Bolivar appear to be becoming my favourite brand. What a pity they dont make a short robusto.

BLACK FRIDAY - Solani Silver Flake Blend 660 Pipe Tobacco 100g Tin by bill

It may or may not be true that some tobaccos favour particular pipes... hmm... but it is true that a tobacco that tastes wonderful one day can seem bland the next. A curious phenomenon possibly to do with biorhythms... maybe? Whatever the reason I like to write reviews on a good day - like today. I always enjoy Solani blends but have put off trying Silver Flake in case I didn’t like it and got stuck with a 100gm tin. Needn’t have worried. The flake is folded into a neat clump and separates easily, smells great, packs and lights effortlessly and tastes of fine Virginia and Kentucky leaf. I am on my second bowl this morning and looking forward to a third. There is no topping that I can detect - just the taste of good pure tobacco. So why is it not a great blend? Hard to say - it is certainly a good smoke but lacks the character that would make it truly remarkable.

Bolivar Royal Corona Cigar - 1 Single by Arthur

I am an absolute new to cigars but even with limited knowledge and experience I felt truly compelled to comment on this one. I have little experience to be able to make comparisons and therefore make sensible intelligent judgements but I did truly enjoy this cigar. Just felt so right, so good. A good draw, fulfilling without being overpowering, super, and for sure this will become a regular for me!
