The tobacco is prepared in Sri Lanka, where the binder and wrapper of the cigar are cut to the desired shape. Initially the tobacco is moistened to give it extra suppleness. It is then selected according to size and colour and the leaves are machine cut into their characteristic shape, depending on the cigar model. The wrapper completes the product which is immensely important in providing the cigar?s final taste and appearance.
