If there is one particularly famous cigar factory in Havana, it is Partagas. The factory was opened in 1845 by Don Jaime Partagas and it has been making the cigars that bear his name ever since.

A Partagas is immediately recognisable by its deep, earthly flavour. The character of its blend springs from a selection of filler and binder tobaccos grown in the Vuelta Abajo zone and chosen for their unmistakable richness of flavour and aroma.

The best known of all Partagas is the Serie D No. 4, the robusto size that formed part of the legendary Partagas alphabet series that dates back to the 1930's. In 2005 a Piramide, the Partagas Serie P No. 2, was added to the range, which fast became a cigar of choice amongst lovers of full flavoured Habanos. In 2011 the Serie D No. 5 and the heavy ring gauge Serie E No. 2 extended the alphabet series once again.

HadnÂ’t had a smoke in afee years but during lockdown decided to rekindle the old passion and bought a 10 cuban sampler, smoked this last night and to be fair it knocked me bandy, was dizzy and felt queasy🤣!! Lovely cigar, great burn and draw but too strong for me getting back into the game! Very well made cigar!

This was a positive but weird smoke for me. As of writing this I am at the nub, having been provided with an complex experience. The cigar had a fresh farmyard aroma, which is a favourite for me. First light started off as a grassy, light earth, slowly transforming into a strong woody note that I was slow to pick up on at first. Usual nutty flavour showed itself almost all the way through. Final third was the most interesting however. A peppery taste hit the retro hard, but not unpleasant, then a fresh barley taste as if it was straight from the field. Finally, I’m getting an extremely strong salted peanut taste. Fantastic little smoke, will be on the list for down the line agin for sure!

First let me thank Partagas so much for this unique cigar. medium To full body, the draw, burn, and constrection are amazing. Varied bouquet of Flavors, aromas, and after tastes.. Such as grassy, earthy, Salt, citrus, spring, sun, barley leather, raw coffee, pink, leather, nuts, dark chocolate, raisin, and creamy smoke. I will make sure keeps a large number of these fancy sticks in my cigar humidors. Thank you so much C.GARS , Michelle Adler for all excellent choices and services. ✨

I think IÂ’m done with Cubans. IÂ’m not a rich man, paying top money for a cigar that either burns badly, needs constant relights, rolled badly or not filled enough just isnÂ’t acceptable. Cause people will still pay for the distinctive Cuban taste this rubbish still decades on is still happening. You donÂ’t get such poor quality control with new world cigars and feeling great cause you got a Cuban that burned good today shouldnÂ’t be the standard of the brand. For every good D4, you will get maybe three to four poor ones. Unacceptable whatÂ’s being passed through. When people stop buying like many are now maybe stuff will improve.
