Tasting Notes

Highland Park 12 Year Old:
Nose: Fresh, clean and aromatic as light floral notes hit the senses before notes of creamy manuka honey, a touch of juicy citrus with a well-balanced sweetness.
Palate: Relatively full with a pleasant subtlety as lurking somewhere, grilled oranges lie with notes of granary toast and green tea with jasmine. A touch of sweetness.
Finish: Quite long with a peppered kick of spice and wood shavings.

Highland Park 15 Year Old:
Colour: Clear and bright. Golden.
Nose: Aromatic smokiness with a hint of camphor.
Palate: Initially sweet and rich as this then develops into a dried smokiness.
Finish: Rich and long medium but then medium dry.

Highland Park 18 Year Old:
Nose: Ripe floral notes and fresh blossom with a fruit salad incur before notes of honeyed exotic fruits and a little botrytis.
Palate: Creamy and full with delicious fruit conserves and espresso. A further creaminess then incurs with cinnamon and allspice before, final notes of toffee with thick black forest honey and a touch more citrus.
Finish: Long and well sugared with a herbal edge.

Highland Park 25 Year Old:
Nose: A little more pungent than other Highland Park editions. Notes of soft peat and wood with oaked tannins. A thick honey presence with notes of menthol, walnut and a herbal quality.
Palate: Relatively full with toffee and supple peat as a warming winter spice then develops with notes of oaky tannins.
Finish: Warm and fiery with notes of spicy oak.

Highland Park 30 Year Old:
Colour: Rich copper and amber.
Nose: Full and rich. Some floral notes do develop and as they do, hints of acacia honey arise. Delicious dark toffee with honeycomb and notes of juicy sultana and dates with a touch of sugary fresh pastry.
Palate: Warm and rich. Notes of winter spice, sherried raisins, hints of mixed peels and honeyed sweetness before a final note of mocchaccino lies somewhere in the mix with a little rum.
Finish: Long with a toasted oaked spice.
