Description

A bottle of Dallas Dhu 12 Year Old Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky from independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail.

Meaning Black Water Valley and the last whisky to flow here was back in 1983 but this distillery is still very much intact and sits off the A940 near Forres in Morayshire and open as Scotland’s only dedicated distillery museum.

The Rare Malt bottles from Diageo are the main official ones available and some increasingly rare old independent bottles from Gordon & Macphail.

The bottling code indicates this was bottled in 1995.

Please note as this is a vintage whisky, conditions of bottle/label and liquid level can vary.

 

Tasting Notes

Nose: Refreshing pineapple, and golden delicious apples. Soft vanilla lingers.

Palate: Soft and delicate, the vanilla continues as a touch of soft pepper begins to appear.

Finish: Pepper continues onto the finish, with a hint of liquorice.
